I believe in advocating for my clients and supporting when they advocate for themselves. I have experience working with young people experiencing birth for the first time. I approach working with parents from a trauma-informed perspective prioritizing the needs of my clients.

As a doula it is not only my job to provide nurturing physical and emotional support during childbirth, but also to equip each family ahead of time with the knowledge and tools to feel confident going into birth. I believe this makes all the difference in the outcome.

Michaela (Mikki) Bell is the face behind TheDoulaBell and has really been preparing for this gifting her whole life. She jokes, "The first doula client I ever had was a momma sheep out on our family friend's farm in Colorado when I was 9 years old. That was the first birth I ever participated in and since then, I've been so enthralled with birth in every form." Mikki's real journey to becoming a doula began with the birth of her firstborn, Jensen. She states that having a doula herself changed her whole perception about what birth is really like and what the human body is capable of. Yose is a Holistic Birth and Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Educator, and Birthrights advocate in Orange County, California. Her passion for Birth Work began in 2020 when she got pregnant with her daughter Kailani. During pregnancy she prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually for labor, but did not prepare for the postpartum period. With no family or support around made her 4th trimester a very difficult time for her and her partner. Yose completed her Birth Worker training with Bebo Mia Inc when her daughter was only 3 months old. After the training she realized that she wanted to take a more ancestral approach in birth work, and began learning about Mexican Birth and Postpartum Traditions. I'm Brazilian, and I'm a mom of two girls. My cultural Background and my daughter's birth experiences are deeply connected to my decision to become a doula. Growing up, I used to listen to my mother's birth stories, which helped me see childbirth as a grand and beautiful event.
