How these prices are calculated

Prices are the rates night nannies and newborn care specialists list on their Bornbir profiles. Birth doula packages are left out, because they pay for labor support rather than nights. So are hourly rates under $15 or over $200, to leave out package prices entered as an hourly rate by mistake.

The Lancaster figures count providers based within 150 miles once at least 5 of them list prices; below that the page shows California or United States figures instead. Medians are the middle price, ranges the middle half of prices, and per-night costs assume a 10-hour shift. Figures recompute daily.

The cost of a night nanny in Lancaster, CA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Lancaster, CA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

As a first-time mom and someone who really does not function well without sleep, postpartum was probably what I was most nervous about... (especially after having a necessary C-section!) I interviewed a couple different postpartum care teams and found the Newborn Dream Team immediately made me feel at ease. The first few weeks after giving birth were honestly a lot. Between recovering from my C-section, figuring out life with a newborn, and not having family in town, I was much more anxious and overwhelmed than I expected to be. I cannot thank Danielle, Pamela and Abbey enough for being there for us during that time. They were so helpful in those early weeks, not only with the baby, but with helping us figure out what worked for our family. They answered all of my questions, gave me reassurance when I needed it, and helped me feel more relaxed and confident as a new mom without ever making me feel like I didn't know what I was doing. I was breastfeeding, and they were so supportive of that while also helping us introduce a bottle. They always let us lead with what we felt most comfortable with and never made us feel pressured to do things a certain way. And honestly, being able to get some much-needed sleep knowing our baby was safe and in such good hands was *priceless.* They also helped us establish a really great routine and healthy sleep habits, and our baby was sleeping through the night by five weeks! We will miss Danielle and Pamela SO much, but it makes me so happy knowing they're always in our corner. I truly cannot recommend Newborn Dream Team enough. They made those first few weeks so much easier and more enjoyable, and I am so grateful we found them. 🤍

Hi, I’m Sidni! 🤍 I’m a Professional Newborn Care Specialist and childcare provider with over 12 years of experience caring for babies and young children, with a special focus on newborn and infant care. I provide overnight newborn care for families who want to rest and recover while knowing their baby is being cared for by an experienced, dependable professional. Whether you’re preparing to welcome your first baby, adjusting to life with multiples, or simply realizing that functioning on very little sleep isn’t sustainable, I’m here to make those early weeks a little easier. During overnight care, I can assist with: • Feeding and burping • Diapering and soothing • Breastmilk and bottle-feeding support • Washing and preparing bottles • Baby laundry and other infant-related tasks • Newborn logs and tracking feeds, sleep, and diapers • Establishing developmentally appropriate routines • Safe sleep practices • Overnight care for singletons and twins My approach is warm, calm, and judgment-free. I understand that every baby—and every family—is different, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to newborn care. I work alongside parents and follow their preferences while bringing professional newborn knowledge and hands-on experience into the home. One of my favorite parts of this work is walking into a home with exhausted new parents and being able to say, “I’ve got the baby tonight. Go get some sleep.” 🤍 I am Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified, have my certificate of training as an NCS, and I bring extensive professional childcare experience into every contract. I’m currently accepting 2027 overnight newborn care contracts and would love to hear about your family, your due date, and the kind of support you’re looking for. Send me a message and tell me a little about your growing family—I’d love to see if we’re a good fit! Sidni Keaton Care LLC Supporting families from the very first night.

I was overall impressed not only by the fact that she is very attentive with my child but she actually cares as well. She has a certificate as a newborn specialist and I have learned so much from her. She’s very reliable and I love the fact that she’s never on her phone. (Our last sitter was always on her phone) The only reason she is available is because I’m moving. If not, I would never have let her go!!

Hello there! My name is Cynthia Alvarado and I identify as she/her. I'm happily married to a wonderful man, and we have a beautiful 12-year-old boy, who is currently in middle school. My journey in Baby Night Care began in 2011 when a dear friend of mine, who is a Doula, recommended that I take a Doula training course. At that time, I had no idea what a doula was, but I was fascinated when she explained it to me. I loved babies and was excited to work with them and nurture families in their postpartum journey. When I took my doula training, I was eighteen and pregnant with my son Julian Alvarado! Julian was my first experience with newborns, and it was an incredible experience for me. As I was young and had no work experience, I started as a part-time daytime nanny. Later on, I began doing night nanny work while still working daytime. I slowly started building my experience and resume, and eventually started working full-time night-time only as a postpartum doula. Since then, I have continued my education in newborn and postpartum care, and I've become a Certified Doula, a Certified Newborn Specialist, a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and I've earned a degree in Child Development, specializing in infant care. I have been working with families for over ten years now, and I absolutely love it. I have combined all my careers to provide personalized care that fulfills each family's unique needs. I offer emotional and lactation support, education, resources, empowerment, and nurturing for the whole family, as well as baby care services. If you need any help or support, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm here to help!

Hello There! My name is Aly Gonzalez and I identify as she/her. I'm a mother to a sweet four year old boy named Luke and married a former Marine for almost 7 years! My Journey in Newborn care started way before I had my son, began back in 2018. I was introduced to an amazing family who needed the extra help overnight and I took up the opportunity as I knew I was more than cable of helping out the family in this new season. The family really opened up my eyes to an amazing opportunity of being able to help families with new babies. I was fascinated and took a leap of faith to start my own business as a New Born Care Specialist. I got certified and never looked back. Had my baby boy three years later and dove back into my business, as an ever better NCS because I now had a better and deeper understanding what it was like to come from the hospital with a new baby. I fell in love deeper with my job and got certified as a Postpartum Doula, furthering my education in the postpartum world. I'm now a newborn care specialist, postpartum doula, and a breastfeeding specialist. I'm Constantly continuing my education in newborn and postpartum care. I've worked with singles, multiples, and babies with special needs. I offer personalized care for every single one of my families depending on their wants and unique needs. Alejandra was an absolute godsend during my postpartum journey. Her calm, nurturing presence made those overwhelming early weeks feel manageable and even beautiful. She supported my daughter, helped with the baby duties, and reminded me to care for myself — all with kindness and expertise. I truly don’t know how I would’ve done it without her. My daughter’s sleep schedule now is amazing and I know it was from her doula support. Highly, highly recommend!

If you value both evidence and intuition, I might be the doula for you. I love helping clients combine research and their own instincts to make decisions that are right for them. Furthermore, I might be the doula for you if you want support without an agenda. I don’t believe there’s an ideal way to approach birth or postpartum adjustment. I’m here to understand and support whatever path you want to take.

It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for Glo. As a first-time mom living far from much of my family, I was nervous about navigating the postpartum period, but after our very first night with Glo, I knew we had found someone incredibly special. Glo is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, reliable, gentle, and kind. She brought a sense of calm and confidence into our home during a time when everything felt new. She was always there to answer questions, talk through different approaches, and help us navigate each new stage with our daughter without ever making us feel like there was one “right” way to do things. She also went far beyond simply caring for our baby. Glo helped us set up systems that made our entire bottle prep, feeding, and sanitizing routine so much more efficient and organized. Whenever we needed additional support, she had an incredible network of trusted resources to direct us to, including a lactation consultant who ended up being invaluable to me. One of the things I appreciated most was how intentional she was about understanding our goals. Each week, she listened to what we wanted to work on—both in the immediate moment and more broadly with our daughter—and helped us turn those goals into clear, actionable plans. So many of the routines and systems she helped us establish have worked incredibly well for our family and given us confidence as new parents. More than anything, Glo gave me one of the greatest gifts I could have received as a new mother: confidence in my ability to be a mom. She never imposed her way of doing things; instead, she gave me the knowledge, support, and encouragement to trust my own instincts. She was endlessly supportive and brought such a gentle, reassuring presence into our home. When I look back on the time I became a mother, Glo will forever be a part of that memory. Her warmth, knowledge, patience, and support were more meaningful than I ever could have anticipated. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her by their side, and I truly cannot recommend her enough.
