We are looking for a night nanny / doula that can help sleep train our 5 month old son. He is a very difficult sleeper that has become used to nursing to fall asleep. Sleep regression really started around the 4 month mark and has not gotten any better. Nights currently consist of waking every 2 hours and struggling to go back to sleep. Mom is having an extremely difficult time and needs help as soon as possible. Dad works full time and struggles to assist during the week. This is baby number 5, and we are at a loss. Budget at this point is whatever it takes to get a better sleeping baby.

I am looking for a provider with experience caring for newborns, especially someone who is knowledgeable about newborn feeding and can help manage feeding schedules. Certification is a plus, but hands-on experience with newborn care is the most important requirement. Experience helping families transition when a new baby arrives would be very helpful. The primary care recipient will be a newborn, and I also have a toddler at home. Supporting my toddler as he adjusts to having a new sibling will be an important part of the role. The provider should be comfortable working with both age groups and understanding their different needs. Additional duties may include assisting with newborn feeding routines, soothing and settling the baby, and helping create a calm and supportive environment for both children. Light help related to the children, such as tidying up after meals or activities, may be appreciated. My estimated budget is flexible and will depend on the provider’s experience and qualifications.

I need someone experienced in birth in order to avoid tearing (even though I plan on using an epidural) and also someone who is highly trained in sleep training for my baby once that becomes an option for them. We will be needing the night nurse for at least 8 weeks with option to potentially extend. I live in Mendham, NJ and I will be birthing out of Morristown Hospital! I would like to create a birth plan that includes limited vaccines with the most necessary only and to be delayed and as spread out as possible!
