Doula support for hospital birth and postpartum. Looking for someone to help be an advocate.

We are delivering at Kaiser South Sacramento. We are diving what goes into a birth plan so may need help finalizing that. The main birth plan goal is the health of the baby and myself, our research is mostly going into what are all the options so we can understand all potential scenarios. We believe that understanding will allow us to go in informed and have the best opportunity to advocate for the baby and myself.

This is my first pregnancy and both my partner and I will be first time parents. I’m looking for help understanding my body as baby and I continue to grow. I live far from my mother and sisters so it’s a very emotional time without that support. I would love to learn new things for baby safety, feeding, sleep as well as what’s good for me as I’m nourishing myself and baby. I plan to give birth in the hospital with very minimal interventions, but I’m currently unsure what a back up plan would look like and I could use some support with creating that backup plan. Our first birth plan is to be very intimate and peaceful but my partner can also use some understanding and learning points for how to support, and where, at the time of birth. Once baby arrives, my partner won’t have the opportunity to be home with us long, and I’m planning to be home for 2 months postpartum. We would absolutely love the night support and the continuous learning. We have family support but we really want the first week to be only us and baby, as well as have strong boundaries with family about baby with hygiene and safety so this is where the help would come in. I feel like there is more to discuss to better understand match, but I am still very new!

Looking for someone with 10 years minimum experience, certified doula and nanny, who is culturally responsive. We are looking for someone to help with basic cleaning, cooking, laundry, night support for baby so mom and dad can rest and babysitting. Breastfeeding/ pumping help. I have inverted/ flat nipples and can't figure out the right size flange and can't get my daughter to latch very well especially after having a bottle. I keep getting clogged milk ducts that are extremely painful in both breast. And my nipples are very sore all the time. Something is wrong and I can't figure it out. My current lifestyle is holistic in nature and would love to find someone who also aligns with my values. Yoga, healthy eating, photography, and massage therapy would be a bonus! As this is my first time I do not have a set budget, although I am looking for someone who is comfortable with the process of being paid through Kaiser. To my understanding this service is fairly new and does not have a set limit however, I believe in full transparency and any other service outside of what Kaiser will pay I have full intentions of paying for based on an agreed rate.
