I am early on in navigating my first pregnancy. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial in Worcester, but I live in Charlton, MA. I am interested in having a birth doula and ideally the same candidate to help when we transition to home life for a few hours. I’m interested in having an unmediated birth, however I am aware that reality might have a different thought. Movement is a necessity for me. Plan to give birth at Winchester Hospital. Having my first baby and hoping to have a low-intervention vaginal birth. I'm still considering/learning about specific plan details. I'm planning on giving birth at Elliott Hospital in Manchester NH. This is my first baby and all of our family lives in VA so I want someone to advocate for me during labor! My husband and I are definitely more on the holistic side of things, I really don't want to give birth laying on my back, we want to do delayed cord clamping, skin to skin right away, and more! I want my birth to be as natural as possible. My goal is for it to be unmedicated but also I know things happen sometimes where that's not an option. Not 100% sure what the normal budget would be for this so that's up for discussion! Our Faith is very important to us too so that has been a big part of my pregnancy journey!
