My husband and I have two children already and I would like to give birth to our third in a birthing center or at home with a midwife, whichever is cheaper. I just really don't want to go to a hospital again, where my husband will have to travel between me and our two other children. My preferred birth method is a Trial of Labor after 2 Cesarean Sections. I had a very difficult time with my last elective c-section. I had a spinal fluid leak, required several medications and a blood patch, and mentally struggled with coping. I thought I was okay with another c-section, however, I ended up deeply regretting following through. I did have signs of labor approaching (contractions, losing mucus plug), but had a c-section at exactly 40 weeks. I would be okay with another c section if medically necessary. If the facility allows, I’d like to then do a maternal-assisted cesarean section.
