Hello! I am planning on giving birth at Fresno Kaiser Permanente. Looking for a doula who accepts Kaiser insurance and this is my first pregnancy. As for my birth plan, I am planning for a vaginal delivery (if possible!), epidural and breathing techniques for pain management. For Delivery room atmosphere music is a must and dim lights. For delivery methods lying on back or squatting, whatever is beneficial. Skin to skin contact for sure and planning on breast feeding. I would love to have a doula who strongly supports African American moms. Thank you! |

We plan to give birth at Southern Hills Hospital off sunset and the 215. Iām not entirely sure what our budget would be. Iām just starting my research on Doulas and feel this is definitely a route we would like to go. Ideally I would prefer an unmedicated vaginal birth. Unfortunately I do have genital herpes so depending on if Iām experiencing an outbreak at the time of delivery I might need to have a c-section. If a vaginal birth is able to happen there are things we would like such as delayed cord clamping, no bath, and most likely oral vitamin K versus shot. I would love my delivery to be a pleasant experience as possible; calm environment, minimal checks, etc. My husband is a very calm person in high stress situations but has a hard time with soft motivation. I love him dearly but heās very business like when it comes to prep talks. I would love a Doula that can fill in for the emotional support that might be lacking during delivery. |
