The hospital we will be using is Virginia mason franciscan at St. Joseph’s hospital. We don’t have a set budget (open) as money is not a huge concern. My wife (Shondi) wants to have a natural birth and is open to using nitrous oxide, but would prefer to avoid an epidural. Shondi is a 40 yo, African American cisgendered woman. We are looking for an advocate during birth and potentially postpartum care. We have already run into issues with doctors about our plan and care. While I’m confident and competent in my ability to support and advocate for Shondi I would benefit from the support, expertise, and knowledge of a doula. We’re looking for a doula that has experience (2+ years) and have experience and knowledge supporting women of color. No out of state please

I had searched for a doula about a month ago but was told I needed a c section and we were short on funds so I stopped the search. I have now been cleared for a vaginal delivery and I would love a support person there to assist with my birth plan, while my husband is able to be present.

I am enrolled in an Advanced Multicultural Counseling course, and for a course project I am focusing on Black maternal health and disparities in maternity care. I am reaching out to see if any doula or anyone who works within your organization might be willing to participate in a brief interview (approximately 30–45 minutes) to share insights from their professional experience supporting Black mothers. My goal is to better understand systemic barriers, protective factors, and ways mental health professionals can more effectively advocate for and support Black women during pregnancy and postpartum. Hello! My husband and I are looking for a Tricare covered doula to help support our home birth in February!

I am looking for a doula that would be covered by tricare. I plan on giving birth at the hospital in Shelton, WA. This would be my second birth. I would like to have a vaginal unmedicaded birth and I am looking for the right person who will help me prepare my body and mind. As well as advocate for me when I cannot/don’t know how to.

Plan to give birth at St Francis Hospital in Federal Way. Birth plan is for an all natural birth, no pain medication or intervention if possible. Golden hour, delayed cord clamping, only partner in the room with nurses and doula. Postpartum, would like help with meals, some cleaning, and lactation support if needed. Budget: $1500
