I am seeking a Black doula who is culturally competent and supportive. I plan to give birth at either a birthing center or a hospital. I would like continuous labor support, advocacy during delivery, and emotional support before and after birth. My goal is a calm, informed, and empowering birth experience. My budget is flexible and dependent on services offered.

Need help at night so I can get a good night’s rest and essentially be able to “reset”, so I am able to be a better mom in the long run. I currently feel that because I am so sleepy during the day, that I’m not as good of mom. I want to have the energy during the day to be more productive as well.

The ideal provider will have at least two years of experience caring for newborns and be certified in infant CPR, postpartum doula care, infant safety, and babysitting. In addition to childcare, I would appreciate light household help such as meal preparation, light cleaning, laundry, and occasional assistance with sleep training routines. My OBGYN delivers at Grant Medical Hospital I am unsure of what the budget looks like I just wanted to start looking around and see what all is covered/provided.
