We're looking into a home birth (it would be in an apartment) near Macon, GA. We may be relocating there soon for a job. This is our first kid, and it was measuring about in the 50-60% range at 20 weeks. (We do not know the gender and dad plans on being the one to tell mom once the baby pops out.) Need birth support, pain management, some postpartum support (I've seen this is typically one visit from the doula and four to five visits from the midwife). Planning for a natural birth. Not planning on getting an epidural, being induced, any of that. That's why we don't want a hospital birth. Additionally, we will likely be farther along than 28 weeks, which seems that it may make transferring into a birthing center more difficult. Hopeful total budget: $4500 for the midwife, $1200 for the doula. This is somewhat negotiable, but that's our ideal. Thanks!!

We are panning a hospital birth. We want to keep things as natural as possible supplement-wise and with no vaccinations, injections, or unnecessary treatments. Not sure how much we are willing to spend but this help is important to us; that said, we are not rich.
