Education. Had my first child by c-section and the whole thing felt so out of control. I want to know my rights, what helps, and how to plan better.
My name is June Aiu (25yr) and this is my first pregnancy. I am currently 30weeks + 5 days and I plan to give birth at my workplace, MetroHealth Glick Center (Main Campus) in Cleveland, Ohio. My official due date is February 6th, 2026. My budget range is $1,200-$1,500. My birth plan includes: Vaginal birth (unless absolutely necessary to change based on emergency circumstances), being as active/mobile as possible during early labor, utilizing oral/IV push medications and breathing/meditative exercises for pain relief, avoid an epidural (if possible), utilize nitrous oxide after 7cm dilation for pain relief (if my facility has this as a treatment option), and delayed cord clamping (about 2-5min). I’d also like to keep my placenta if that’s possible. The only people I want present in the delivery room are the providers, the baby’s father, and my mother.
I plan to give birth at home. I want a complete holistic and natural pregnancy with little to none medical interference. I want to do a water bath birth and have complete holistic and clean eating and nourishment along the journey while still working out and trying to be the best I can be physically and mentally.
