Hi - I spoke with my insurance Cigna and they confirmed I have 60 days per calendar year with 16 hours per day during this time for a postpartum home health care for me and my newborn. No prior authorization is required. They didn't call it a doula but they called it a PP home health care. They couldn't give me a list of eligible providers, I kept getting either a list of home health care providers (which included nursing homes or Lenox Hill Radiology) or OBGYNs. I would like to connect and discuss how we can work together.

I’m a working mom of 2 joyful and strong willed kids. My youngest is 16 months old and hasn’t slept through the night since about 6 months of age. I’m running on fumes. He falls asleep independently for bedtime ~7:30pm each night. He wakes about 2x (12am/3am) before final wake up around 5am when I bring him into my bed and nurse him back down so we can sleep until about 7am. He’s got 16 teeth out so I attribute some of the night struggles to that but i know there are other factors. Can you help?

I plan to give birth In Lafayette Indiana. I want to try and stay home once my water breaks till as long as possible and to try not to have an epidural if I can stand the pain. I want to try and give birth in a position other than my back. I would like to do delayed cord clamping till the cord turns white and not pulsating. Learn how to burp. Understand the different cries to address it properly. How to deal with baby when constipated.

Aromatherapy. • I prefer to move around freely during labor. • I would like access to birthing balls, showers (if applicable). • I’d like intermittent monitoring instead of continuous, if safe. • Pain relief: I prefer to try natural methods first (breathing, massage, movement), Delivery Preferences • I would like to push in positions that feel most comfortable (squatting, side-lying, hands-and-knees). • I prefer minimal coached pushing unless necessary. • I’d like the option of mirror use or touching my baby’s head as they crown. • If a C-section becomes necessary, I’d like my partner present and skin-to-skin contact as soon as possible. ⸻ Newborn Care • Immediate skin-to-skin after birth, if baby is stable. • Delay cord clamping until it stops pulsating. • Breastfeed as soon as possible after delivery. • I prefer routine newborn procedures (vitamin K, eye ointment, weight, bath) delayed until after bonding and first feeding. I do not want the baby vaccinated. But the vitamin K shot would be fine considering I’d like for him to be circumcised. • I would like for the baby to stay in the room with me.

Would rather have doula in room during birth process .. my parents, I’d like them to come in once the birth is complete and I’m covered, out of the respect of our culture, but I definitely would love support during that time.
