I’m struggling with postpartum badly and need a certified therapist as well as a certified pp doula that studied postpartum and all the things that come with it, from the hormone drop, to all the emotions I’m experiencing to help navigate through what I’m going through and feeling. I’m a first time mom to a 10 week old baby, so this is all brand new to me and this had been a huge, beautiful rollercoaster full of ups and downs and I needed help. I’m also looking for an IBCLC to help my baby feed better as breastfeeding can be very frustrating and challenging sometimes. He started well, but it’s kind of tapered a bit. I'm planning on giving birth at a hospital (AdventHealth Wesley Chapel). I'm hoping to find someone in my area who takes Medicaid (FL Aetna Better Health). My biggest reasons for looking into doulas is because I have had a life-long struggle with depression and anxiety and pregnancy has definitely heightened all of that. I don't have any friends who have been through pregnancy or have kids, so I don't have anyone to go to for guidance other than calling my OB or asking ChatGPT. My fiancé could also benefit from some guidance.
