Hello! My name is Ali! I'm currently expecting my second baby this June (EDD 6/18/26). I live on Wollaston Beach in Quincy with my partner, Jonathan and our 3-year old daughter. I am interested in working with a doula who can both support my birth (w/ midwives at Mt Auburn Hospital) and postpartum experience at home. Though my 1st birth went smooth enough, I feel as though I could have had an even better birth experience with support from a doula. I am planning to have an unmedicated birth in hopes that it will result in a smoother recovery and more empowering experience overall. Going into birth, I am most anxious/dreading the postpartum season. I hope that having some support during that time would help make it a little easier and would love to have someone who can be there for this time as well as during birth. I currently have MassHealth insurance, and would love to utilize it for birth/postpartum doula services!

I would like a doula who can help educate me on all my options around birth and how to best prepare for that. I'd also like them to be present when I'm giving birth, and potentially post partum care. I'm giving birth at Central Dupage Hospital. I learned today that my insurance plan covers doulas that are in-network, so ideally they would be in-network with BCBSIL. I don't know my birth plan, I would like help figuring that out.

I am currently planning to give birth at cdh. I’m not sure what an appropriate budget for a doula is so I guess I’m interested in rates. I plan to give birth at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. I need a doula that is accepted by Tricare. My birth plan is as little intervention as possible. I want to deliver vaginally with no epidural. I want someone who can help prepare me for labor, provide knowledge of the process, and assist my husband in helping me through labor and advise on any decisions that might need to be made in the moment.

I want my husband to be there and be my support. I want calming environment and God centered motivation. I have no idea what our budget is. We dont have a lot of money so cheaper is better but we won't necessarily cut must have things.

My company offers up to $5,000 towards doula services, but I would need everything in contract and paid by the end of the year because this benefit will be ending. In order to qualify, my doula would need to meet at least one of the following requirements: - DONA or CAPPA - Demonstrated training + experience through NY and/or CA state(s) affiliation - For Doulas who don't have state association: Training and/or experience requirement with attestation of 24+ training hours, 5+ observed births My ideal birth would be un-medicated vaginal birth utilizing natural pain management techniques. I would like to have the ability to labor and birth in different positions, depending what feels right to me instinctively. This will be my first birth, so I am looking for some assurance and coaching perhaps, but cringe at the idea of a team yelling at me to push at a time that doesn’t feel quite right. I am open to it, but don’t think I will want to birth in supine position. I’d like to learn a lot more about how babies naturally move throughout the birth process, and change positions to help my baby descend. I also was told at my last ultrasound that at the moment, the placenta is touching my cervix, so it will need to move in order to have a vaginal birth. My doctors seemed fairly confident that it will move as my uterus stretches. If possible, I would like to avoid both induction and c section.
