Currently, I plan to give birth at the hospital un-medicated or physiological. I've been interested in a home birth and just want to see my options. I've been working with a doula and would like to have a home birth as I've learned more information about birth. I'm overweight, so IDK if that impacts my eligibility to have a home birth. My birth plan would be to labor at home for as long as possible and to be comfortable. Having a clean home, some soothing music, and some affirmations I believe would help me to be comfortable. I would like to labor in the shower, on a birthing ball, and however I can get comfortable. When it's time, I would like to head to the hospital or have a midwife come to my home. At the hospital, I would like to create a calm environment by praying & doing some breathing exercises. I'd like to continue to labor with a ball or moving. Once baby is here, I'd like to delay cord clamping and have baby put on my chest.
I want an at home water birth, but I also want to be prepared so that I can feel confident in going all natural. I have had one child via c-section but I want to birth naturally in the comfort of my home.
I'm looking for a more natural and bonding connection. This will be my third child. I had my other 2 in hospitals with C.Sections.
