We’re moving midway through the pregnancy to the DC region, Maryland side. We’ll probably live in the Rockville area but I’m hoping to give birth with the midwives at George Washington University’s hospital. I’m looking for a labor doula to support an unmediated birth. I also struggled with low supply with my first child so I’m hoping to find a lactation consultant who specialises in that. We have Tricare, which covers both doulas and IBCLCs.

We live in Hanover, plan to birth in Carlisle. Looking for a home birth experience in a hospital setting. Unmedicated if possible, with minimal intervention. History of infertility and loss. Strong personality and need someone who can work with that. Looking for prenatal, birth and postpartum support. Experience with breastfeeding, baby wearing and cloth diapers is a plus. Definitely want someone with experience in movement techniques to optimize baby's positioning. My insurance covers 1200 per year and we can go a bit above that. Bonus points if we can split billing or do a visit in the new year to use both years benefits. Insurance requires a tax ID number and an invoice.

Baby did amazing latching the first 24-48 hours. But my colostrum and milk struggling to come in. Baby is now on formula. People besides mom has fed baby and now she won’t latch.

I am 18 weeks pregnant with my first child here in Maryland. I have a strong support system with my husband and family. Seeking a doula that can help me have the best experience during the preparation (including workouts and stretching), birth, and postpartum. I will need assistance on making a birthing plan. I've considered home birth, birthing center, and hospital. My overall goal is to be comfortable (if I need to squat to have the baby, so be it and not forced to stay on my back) and supported.
