Saint thomas Midtown birthing center first pregnancy wanting to lean more on the natural birth side of things but i’m also open
We are expecting our first baby and are looking for a supportive, experienced doula to be part of our birth journey. I plan to give birth in a hospital and am currently exploring options, with a preference for a provider familiar with the Nashville area and local hospitals. As a first-time mom, I would love a doula who provides both emotional and educational support before, during, and immediately after birth. I’m hoping for a birth experience that is informed, calm, and empowering. While I am open to medical interventions if necessary, I would like support in labor comfort techniques, advocacy, and understanding my options throughout the process. I am interested in a certified doula with experience supporting first-time parents. A warm, patient, and reassuring personality is very important to me. Additional experience with postpartum support is a plus. I am 29 years old and this is my first pregnancy. At this time, I am primarily looking for birth support, but I would be interested in discussing postpartum services such as newborn care education, breastfeeding support, light meal preparation, or light household assistance if available. My budget is approximately $800–$1,500, though I am open to discussing packages based on services offered.
My insurance requires that I give birth at Centennial Hospital. I know I don't want to labor on my back. I don't really have a birth plan yet. I'm nervous about giving birth at Centennial because I don't know anyone else who has given birth there.
I plan to give birth at a hospital in Nashville. Since our insurance does not cover a doula our estimated budget is $1000. I am not sure exactly what my birth plan will be. With a medical condition I think I do plan to get the epidural at some point. I do want delayed cord clamping, no eyedrops, and minimal interventions. I want my provider to be certified and have experience helping first time moms that do not deal with pain well. I am 25 and possible have POTS or Vasovagal syncopy. I would love someone who also is a lactation consultant
I need someone to help me when I get close to giving birth, at the the hospital and for a short time after.
searching for kind, experienced birth and postpartum doula for virtual or in-person visits.
I will most likely need a hospital birth. I have had gestational diabetes for both of my children. I also hemorrhaged pp after my second. I want to avoid intervention as much as possible. I believe Pitocin and possibly the epidural had a hand in my hemorrhaging. I believe I can manage my gd by nutrition. I was induced 39 weeks and 1 day the first birth and 39 and 6 days for the second. I need help finding an OB that will be willing to let me progress as much as I can without intervention. I am not sure what to expect on price so I am willing to see what is offered.
I want some help prepare for childbirth delivery.
I plan to have my baby at home or in a birthing center. Only in a hospital without being hooked up to ivs and other things. I do not have a birth plan yet but i know i do not want a lot of things. im not sure on a budget but no more than 10,000-15,000 at most.
need help maintaining strength and flexibility and preparing for birth
I’m just getting started with a birth plan but I want to give birth in a hospital
I had my daughter via emergency c-section in August 2025 due to preeclampsia. She was delivered a month early. My husband and I found out we were pregnant again while my daughter is only currently 9 months old and with a potential due date of December 29th, meaning there will only be about a 16 months old age gap. My OBGYN cleared me for a VBAC and I would really like to try to do things as naturally as possible. I feel much less confident going into this pregnancy than I did with my firstborn with a previous c-section and with the age gap. We plan on giving birth at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. I don’t know what all is possible with a VBAC but my plan with my daughter originally was no epidural, no pitocin, and to labor at home as long as possible, but again, I worry about the risks with a VBAC may mean we should be at the hospital earlier in the labor process. I am looking for information and help with laboring naturally and natural pain management.

Hi! I found out my insurance covers doula services, and I wanted to reach out 😊 I’m currently pregnant and interested in having extra support during pregnancy and possibly birth/postpartum. I’d love to know more about you and your availability. Thank you!
I would love to give birth at home, but I’ll probably have the baby at a hospital
