I lost a child to cosleeping my last pregnancy I was exhausted and by myself with a 2 year old and a newborn I fell asleep breastfeeding him and woke up when my husband arrived home to find he was dead. I'm absolutely terrified of that situation happening again. I am 33 weeks pregnant with twins. my husband is going to be working and I am a high risk surgical C-section delivery at no later than 38 weeks due to prior complications. I am looking for assistance either day or night the first few weeks to help me get back on my feet and rest. I lost all confidence in my ability to read a newborn and am scared.

My husband and I have a newborn son named Jonah who just turned 1 month old. I have obstructive sleep apnea and my husband has postpartum anxiety, and the combination of these is making it very difficult to get through the nights with him. We are hoping to arrange overnight care for Jonah roughly every other night as soon as we can, but will be flexible to work with you based on what is available given the immediacy of our needs. We are hoping to find a provider with child first aid and CPR training. Jonah is healthy and usually bottle-fed breast milk that I pump throughout the day. Help with sleep training (he sometimes confuses day with night) and cleaning bottle/pump parts would be a bonus, but the ability for me and my husband to sleep more is the main priority. My hopes are to be able to change positions, use birth ball, distractions and possibly hypno birthing techniques to stay as calm and comfortable for everyone during this process. I am ever excited about my first birth and am visualizing a magical experience. We plan to deliver at Collingwood hospital. We live in cookstown, it’s an hour and 25mins away. My in-laws live near by the hospital in Wasaga beach. We have discussed staying with them as it gets closer to go time. Putting out my feelers now for a night nanny/doula and what the cost may be; Our budget is small given that this will be our second child (currently enrolled in daycare) so we are open to maybe 2-3 nights a week if we cannot afford more. Our hope is that the night nanny/night Doula would be able to assist in feeding, changing and helping clean pumps parts once I finish.
