I want to give birth at Ochsner's Alternative Birthing Center. I am not quite sure of my estimated budget just yet. My birth plan is to have as little medical interventions as possible, use epidural alternatives if possible, and foster a calm, controlled environment for myself and my baby.

We are currently deciding whether to give birth in New Orleans or Amsterdam where the father is from. We will be based in New Orleans until September/October if we decide to give birth in Europe. Our budget is around $1500-$2500. We would prefer to use a birthing center over a hospital.

I plan to give birth at the Ochsner Health Center - Baptist McFarland Medical Plaza with OB Dr.Band. I currently do not have a budget. I would like to labor with relaxing aromas, serene chakra music and deep connections with my inner self and my baby. I am not opposed to an epidural, although I would love to find ways to cope with the pain and find different avenues for pain relief. I need someone by my side to help advocate for me as I am in the depths of connecting with my body. I have had two births previously, non traumatic and vaginally, though I was completely unaware of how much control I actually had of my surroundings, my team, pain control, etc. They were wonderful births though this time around I would love to take control and have a deeper connected experience.

Plan on giving birth in hospital, non-medicated. Requesting to labor in water and potentially have a water birth. Looking for support in hospital during birthing and potentially post partum, as a night nurse. I would like a non-medicated birth with dim lighting in water. Hypnobirthing techniques and relaxation methods. Low intervention. Maybe aromatherapy? Soothing music or similar to help me through birth with good support and help through the experience.
