I was fortunate that my parents taught me Spanish and raised me with many different Colombian traditions. I also enjoy spending time with my loved ones, as well as my two beautiful cats, Cheese and Bloom. However, growing up, I was not only an only child but also battled many lifelong chronic conditions. Let’s just say, as a Latina woman, I understand how it feels when receiving care at a medical center can be daunting. This is why I embarked on the path of helping many vulnerable populations from different communities. I am well-acquainted with, and have experienced, the health disparities, inequities, and inequalities that many of you may have faced and felt.
