From the very beginning of our journey into becoming first-time parents, Nicole was an incredible source of comfort, education, support, and empowerment. Her knowledge surrounding pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum care is truly unmatched, but what stood out even more was how genuinely caring and supportive she was every single step of the way. As first-time parents, there were so many decisions to think through and moments where we felt uncertain or overwhelmed. Nicole always made us feel informed, prepared, and capable. She never pushed any specific agenda or birth plan onto us — instead, she fully supported the exact birth experience we wanted and helped us feel confident in every choice we made. That level of respect and encouragement meant everything to us. When labor finally came, Nicole became the advocate every family deserves in the delivery room. She helped us slow down, process information clearly, and make decisions confidently before responding to the medical team. In such an emotional and vulnerable moment, having someone so calm, knowledgeable, and deeply supportive by our side made all the difference in the world. Nicole truly felt like part of our family throughout this experience, and we honestly cannot imagine going through childbirth without her now. We are beyond grateful for her and everything she did for us during one of the most important moments of our lives. We will absolutely use Nicole for every future birth if at all possible. 100/100 experience — highly, highly recommend to any growing family.

I sought out the support of a doula after some tumultuous experiences with my medical team and found Nicole to be precisely the person I needed at the right time. She made me feel empowered about my ability to pursue a VBAC for my second child, as well as regain my voice in our complex medical system that often feels like the final say. We had a wonderful prenatal session to discuss my birth plan - making decisions I never would have thought to ask - and when the time came (earlier than planned!) - Nicole was responsive, supportive, and generous with her insights along the way. I could not imagine my birth experience without her in the moment both as steady support and confidence boosting with each push as I labored. I had some minor complications after delivery and she remained a calming presence while doctors and residents swirled around me. I'm not sure where I would have ended up if she was not holding my hand both leading up to, and in the moment of our daughter's arrival. For one of the most intense and sensitive moments, working with Nicole through Empowered Beginnings was a no brainer - I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone considering a doula for the birth of their child.
