Hi, I am almost 11 weeks pregnant. I’ve really been struggling. I have hypothyroidism and iron deficiency. I believe it is exacerbating my pregnancy symptoms. My GP and OB had not been helpful and have been dismissive. I need help. I’m planning to give birth at French Hospital in San Luis Obispo.

Planning for a hospital birth as a first time mom. Im looking for a patient advocate who will respect my non invasive birth plan including denying vaccinations during my hospital stay, trying for a natural birth, and a calm environment. My insurance will cover the birth and a few visits prior to the birth.

Plan to give birth at the hospital - Kaiser San Jose near Cottle road I’m with Kaiser and this is what is covered to me. 8 one hour visits (Any combination pre or postpartum) + Support during labor and delivery. Doulas need to have NPI TIN numbers to request for reimbursement Doulas do not have to be part of the Kaiser network for this coverage

I plan on having an at home birth. I am still learning about prices would love to use my insurance. Let my body do the work and listen to my body. Move to different positions to help the baby and have my body push the baby out.

I plan to deliver at Stanford ValleyCare hospital in Pleasanton. This is my second pregnancy. My estimated budget is $3,000. Mostly looking for birthing support especially since I have anxiety that gets triggered when I don't have much control over a situation. I would like to labor for as long as possible without medication. For my first delivery I labored naturally until I was 8 cm dilated before I chose to get an epidural. I may need postpartum doula support, especially with breastfeeding, since it was a struggle the first time around. A night nanny may also be needed since I have mental health issues that become exacerbated with lack of sleep.
