I’m delivering in a hospital looking to add personal support to my care team. I am unsure of average costs of doulas so unsure of budget. My birth plan is to use nitrous oxide until at least 7cm, if I am unable to feel present in my birth then I will elect to do epidural. Trying to be as understanding of what my baby needs from me in the time being. I want to prioritize breathing techniques and just being there working with her to bring her earth side.

Our birth plan: This is our first baby. We’re looking for a doula to support us through the pregnancy, birth, and possibly some postpartum guidance. We’d love emotional support, help with birth-education, and guidance on what to expect during labor and delivery. For the delivery itself, we plan a hospital birth at Atrium Health Concord, under the care of our regular doctors/midwives.
