I am looking for either a doula, midwife, or CNM that will allow me to attempt a VBAC. I am not yet pregnant, I am gathering information at the moment to see what my options are. I delivered my first child through c-section 20 months ago. Everything went normal (water broke on own, got to 10 cm dilated, was pushing). My son had descended in a way that my bladder was blocked and I was unable to urinate while in the hospital which led to the c-section. My husband & I just moved to Paducah from St. Louis, I had wanted to give birth at a birth center, but there aren't any around. This is my first pregnancy, we're very excited. So I am looking for support, information, and help to have a birth with as least intervention as possible. I believe in the woman's body being equipped with all it needs to do things naturally (of course there are exceptions). We just met with Baptist Health, I have not viewed their labor and delivery but it is seeming like there are limited options, perhaps a doula could help me understand better my options around here.
