Hi, I’m Nicole! I was born in Houston but raised in Chireno, a small East Texas town just outside of Nacogdoches, and this area has always been home to me. For the past eight years, I’ve owned and managed a cosmetic store in downtown Nacogdoches, and before that, I worked as a CNA for three years. As well as a substitute teacher at a preschool for a year. Looking back, caring for and connecting with people has always been at the heart of what I do. My love for birth work really began after supporting my best friend during her birth in 2024, but watching my sister give birth alongside her doula in March 2026 truly confirmed that this was where my heart belonged. That experience inspired me to start The Nurtured Nest, where I provide birth and postpartum doula support to families in East Texas. My goal is simply to help families feel calm, informed, heard, and genuinely cared for during such an important season of their lives. I’m so excited to continue growing in birth work, serving families in my community, and seeing where this journey takes me!

Whether you need an extra set of hands during the day, dependable overnight care, or an occasional sitter for a date night or appointment, The Nurtured Nest offers gentle, attentive care tailored to your family’s needs and routines. With my background as a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, along with CPR and NRP training, I bring additional newborn and postpartum knowledge to the families I care for. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and nurturing environment while respecting your parenting preferences and your child’s established routine. Nanny care may include: * Daytime nanny care for infants and children * Overnight newborn and child care * Feeding and bottle preparation * Diaper changes and potty assistance * Age-appropriate play and activities * Naps, bedtime, and established routines * Light child-related tidying * Occasional babysitting for date nights, appointments, or events Starting at $25/hour for daytime care and $35/hour for overnight care. Nanny and babysitting services are separate from The Nurtured Nest’s birth and postpartum doula packages. Care is customized based on your family’s needs, schedule, and children’s ages.

I can't say much for the different packages she offers, as I was the first birth Nicole was there for for the entire experience. And I guess you can say im a little bit biased because she is my sister, but putting that aside as much as I can. Nicole is a very loving and caring person, and that showed in every part of my labor and delivery. She was calm when I needed calm, and she pushed me when I needed pushing. She explained things clearly and never made me feel rushed or silly for asking questions. Having her there made a hard experience feel manageable, and I truly don't know how I would have gotten through it without her. If you're looking for a doula who will show up fully present and fight for you, Nicole is that person. I may be biased since she's my sister, but everyone who was in that room with us would tell you the same thing.
