Hey, happy you're here! I am a birth photographer and doula serving OKC and surrounding areas! I am a natural born leader with a passion for learning and a heart full of empathy and I think those traits combined are what keep me pursuing and loving birth work.

I’ve always believed that women should have the birth of their choosing without anyone saying what or how they should birth. As my motto “Women should know that their voice and bodies matter” I want to support everyone and be the advocate they need.

I received a bachelor's degree in Music Education with a minor in Spanish, but I became a birth doula after the birth of my second son (by birth, fifth by choice!). I have been fortunate to have had amazing birth experiences. I labored in my own way, and my children (all seven of them) were born into their father’s hands. I might dare to say I am a childbirth addict! I see pregnancy, birth, and the growth of a family as some of the most beautiful things about humanity. When a laboring person is supported, loved, valued, and heard, the birth process is a positive and empowering experience. A birth doula offers constant physical and emotional support, methods to cope with pain, as well as reassurance when things are normal, and help interpreting medical information when things are not. This benefits all members of the support team. Thus, the birther is EMPOWERED to make their own decisions, own their experience, and ultimately remember it in a positive way, no matter what obstacles may be encountered. I am proud to be a DONA-trained birth doula and offer support to families across the greater Oklahoma City area.

I was drawn to becoming a birth doula when I learned the maternal mortality rate for black women. I knew I wanted to do something about this and the first step I chose is becoming an advocate...a birth doula. I bring 1 year of heartfelt service to my role as your birth doula. I have personally experienced an induction with epidural, two unmedicated births and a C-section. Merin (Amy) Varughese is 36 years old, married to her best friend of 13 years and has two precious boys who are 8 and 6. Amy is an Occupational Therapist Assistant and has been working in the hospital setting for 14 years. Amy also has her Bachelor’s in Psychology. Amy’s journey to becoming a doula was because of her own story through miscarriage, postpartum depression and depression and anxiety. Amy started a mom’s ministry where she makes care packages for moms and does different types of events for moms. Amy finds her joy and healing by loving on other moms from all walks of life. Amy is always happy to share her story so that more moms know they are not alone. Amy believes her faith and pain has led her to find her purpose as a doula. Some of the services Amy offers are meal prep/light chores, sibling transition and more. Amy wants to provide emotional, physical and informational support to help her clients thrive. As Amy’s client she will be there through and available through text, phone calls and even after that. Amy has a saying she says to every mom she loves on. Her message is, “You are seen, you are loved, you are chosen, you are valuable and what you do matters.”

I’m passionate about taking care of the tasks that you shouldn’t have to worry about doing when you’ve just had a baby. I consider this as my ministry. I love to serve people. I can do light house work, supporting you in care for baby, meal preparation/cooking, laundry, and running errands.

Hi I’m Raeley! I am an IBCLC and I specialize in oral dysfunction, tongue ties, & bottle issues/refusal. I am passionate about educating and empowering mom’s on their breastfeeding journey. There is a lot of false claims out there about breastfeeding that prematurely end some journey’s and my hope is to help as many mom’s as I can to reach their goals!
