Broward Health Coral Springs Hospital My goal is to have a calm, positive, and safe birth experience for both me and my baby. Since this is my first baby, I’m open-minded but would like to try for a vaginal delivery if possible. I would like to labor as naturally as I can, but I am open to pain relief, including an epidural, depending on how things progress. I would like help with breathing, positioning, and staying calm during labor. I would like things explained to me before decisions are made. After birth, I would like immediate skin-to-skin contact with my baby if possible. Overall, my main priority is a healthy baby and a safe delivery, and I want to feel supported and comfortable throughout the process.

I plan to give birth in a Boca Raton hospital, I would like a doula for emotional support while I give birth. I have had 3 birth without any epidural but my 4th birth was very painful I couldn’t handle it, I had an epidural & now with my 5th pregnancy, I’m afraid of labor, I hope it’s not like my 4th pregnancy. This is why I would like a doula for my current pregnancy.
Juani is looking for Birth Doula
Location: Hallandale Beach Blvd, HALNDLE BCH, FL 33009, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: July 18, 2026
Still unclear the place probably Hollywood hospital or aventura Our birth plan Parents: Juani and Adam Estimated Due Date: July 16, 2026 (currently ~26 weeks) Primary Provider: Dr. Adolphia Lauture and Associates Support Team: Husband Adam and (to be confirmed) doula Goal: A calm, natural, unmedicated vaginal birth with minimal interventions, trusting physiologic birth while prioritizing safety for both mother and baby. 1. Labor Environment & Support • We request a calm atmosphere: dim lights whenever possible and music from our personal playlist. • We would like access to a birthing ball. If available, we would also appreciate the option to use a birthing tub or shower for hydrotherapy during labor. • We prefer intermittent fetal monitoring with a handheld Doppler rather than continuous electronic monitoring. • We request freedom to move, walk, change positions, and use gravity as much as possible throughout labor. 2. Monitoring & Interventions During Labor • No routine IV line or saline/heparin lock unless medically necessary. • We do not want Pitocin or labor augmentation unless there is a clear medical indication. We prefer natural support methods first (movement, position changes, etc.). • We request no artificial rupture of membranes unless medically necessary. 3. Pain Management & Comfort • We are planning an unmedicated birth with no epidural. • Primary comfort measures: hypnobreathing techniques (which we are actively practicing), birthing ball, counter-pressure, massage, movement, and hydrotherapy if available. • No other pharmacological pain relief unless we specifically request it. 4. Delivery & Pushing • Preferred pushing and delivery positions: squatting, side-lying, standing, or any position that feels effective and allows use of gravity. • We request no episiotomy unless there is a clear medical emergency and only after obtaining our consent. We would like warm compresses and perineal support during crowning. • We request delayed cord clamping until the cord is completely white and has stopped pulsating. • We would like Adam (husband) to cut the cord once it has stopped pulsating. 5. Immediate Newborn Care • Immediate and uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact with me (mother) right after birth. We request at least the first hour (or as long as possible) of bonding time before routine procedures. Adam can also participate in skin-to-skin. • No initial bath, shower, or wipe-down — we want to preserve the vernix on Naomi’s skin. We will request the first bath when we are ready. • Eye ointment is acceptable. • Vitamin K shot is acceptable. • We request to delay the Hepatitis B vaccine (not in the immediate newborn period; we will discuss timing with our pediatrician). • No unnecessary newborn procedures (no routine heel pricks unless medically indicated, no pacifiers, no formula supplementation, no sugar water). • Exclusive breastfeeding is our goal — we request immediate breastfeeding support in the delivery room and throughout our stay. • We request 24/7 rooming-in with Naomi at all times. Please do not take her to the nursery or elsewhere unless there is a medical reason, and we are informed first. 6. Postpartum Care for Mother • We prefer natural postpartum comfort measures first: ice packs, warm compresses, skin-to-skin contact with baby, rest, hydration, gentle movement, and supportive care. We are open to acetaminophen or ibuprofen if needed after discussion. • We welcome immediate lactation support. 7. Placenta • We are undecided about the placenta and request time after birth to decide (take home or hospital disposal). 8. In Case of Unexpected Changes • If a cesarean section becomes medically necessary: • We request Adam (and doula if present) to remain with me. • We would like skin-to-skin contact with Naomi in the OR as soon as I am stable. • Delayed newborn procedures until I am stable and can participate. • In any scenario, we prefer to avoid non-medically necessary interventions and request clear communication about any recommendations, including risks, benefits, and alternatives. 9. Additional Requests • A short, quiet prayer or moment of gratitude right after birth would be meaningful to us. • Photography and video: Only Adam, our doula, or immediate family may take photos or videos during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum. • We appreciate a supportive, respectful team and open communication throughout our stay. Thank you for supporting our wishes for a natural, physiologic birth for Naomi. We are excited to welcome her and value your partnership in keeping her and me safe and healthy.
