I am currently in my 24th week of pregnancy, and have so far had a smooth pregnancy. My due date is July 13, 2026 and I plan to give birth at St. Peter's hospital in Albany, NY. We are open to budget, but would like to stay under $3,000. I am not sure if I will need a lactation consultant, but wanted to look at options and learn more so I can make an informed decision about it. My birth plan is to ideally be minimally medicated, and not have a full epidural. I would like to be able to get up and walk around, use the bathroom, and switch birthing positions based on what feels comfortable with minimal limitations. I hope to have a vaginal birth and learn more ways to prepare for a safe one.

I plan to give birth in my own home. I would like to deliver as naturally as I can. I'm looking to be as educated as I can be. I need someone who can explain all of my home birth options. With all the information out there, I am feeling overwhelmed and really need some guidance. I am 18 weeks pregnant with my first child. We initially started pumping at hospital as we were admitted to NICU and since being discharged we’ve had some troubles with latching. We are currently using a nipple shield but she doesn’t seem to like it.
