Birth St.Clair Looking to understand options for birth and postpartum care
I will be delivering at heritage valley beaver hospital but this wasn’t my first choice and does make me nervous since I don’t have a lot of information on them. This will be my third birth and I had a horrible experience with my first in Dubois, Pa however that was followed by the most amazing experience birthing my son in bloomsburg, pa! I’m under the impression I do not have a midwife here which is a first for me. I want to do this birth as naturally as I can using more holistic methods and care for both me and baby (with exceptions as needed obviously as I do fall more “scrunchy”). I worry about going in and not having my voice heard. My insurance pays up to $1000 for a doula and I understand that might not cover it all which is okay within some type of reason or with the help of a payment plan. Keeping it close to that is preferred though.
Better support during birth giving and someone who Actually can help me and not rush or do any other things that puts me in more pain . I will be birthing at the hospital Better too discuss pricing together im only 18 and i have not alot of money . My birth plan is to go No epidural , i want to try different positions for pushing and a helpful and supportive doula .
I am 27 and this will be my second birth. My first birth was at magee hospital in Pittsburgh. It was not unmedicated. Although I wanted it to be. The cascade of interventions won last time. This birth will be taking place at the midwife center in Pittsburgh. I want my birth to go as naturally and physiological as possible. How God intended. However I know there are exceptions at times. But my goal is to go totally unmedicated. I am pretty active. I Take walks multiple times a week and TRY to strength train 2-3 times a week when my toddler lets me lol. I am also a Christian so faith is huge in my journey if there are any doulas out there willing to combine their Christian faith with my birth experience. My budget honestly is like $0 because I’m really hoping my insurance will cover something like this but if I end up having to pay out of pocket I really would not like to go over $2000 MAX.
I’m trying to help a woman locate support in the Pittsburgh area.

Hello! I am looking for a birth doula. I plan to deliver at a hospital in Morgantown, WV. I am planning a VBAC and would like the least amount of interventions as possible. Someone who offers a free consult, as we would like to interview multiple doulas to find a great match for us. I would love someone who is experienced in positioning, natural pain relief and VBACs. Thanks!

Right now I am just exploring my options. I am interested in hiring a doula to help me advocate for my needs/wants during my hospital birth. I have no idea of a budget as of yet.
