I am looking for a midwife to do checkups during my pregnancy

I want to have an advocate for my birth plan with me and also someone helping me through my pregnancy and delivery. I want to feel as prepared as I can with helpful knowledge and a more natural approach that is best for the baby not what the standards are which sometimes I feel like the hospital goes by.

I’m not exactly sure, I’ve never done this and I’m wanting an at home birth if possible. My budget is probably around $4,000-$5,000.

1. Home or birthing center 2. Not sure, hopefully insurance helps 3. Natural as possible. No pain meds or epidural. Delayed cord clamping. Maybe water birth.
