York Hospital We are hoping for as much of a freebirth as possible, using a CNM in a Hospital setting (due to my having Type 1.5 diabetes and my oldest daughter requiring NICU support for hypoglycemia). Since this is my first baby, I’m open-minded but would like to try for a vaginal delivery if possible. I would like to labor as naturally as I can, but I am open to pain relief, including an epidural, depending on how things progress. I would like help with breathing, positioning, and staying calm during labor. I would like things explained to me before decisions are made. After birth, I would like immediate skin-to-skin contact with my baby if possible. Overall, my main priority is a healthy baby and a safe delivery, and I want to feel supported and comfortable throughout the process.

Live in King and Queen county. Delivering at Riverside in Newport News. I have Anthem Healthkeepers thru Medicaid. I’ve had C-section in 2001. Vbac in 2005,2008,2013,2017. And a C-section in 2024. I’d like to have a vbac again. I have no partner to be there, although we live in the same house, we are not together. I don’t have much help now or will after the delivery.

I plan to give birth at a hospital this is my second child. My only concern is I feel like I have not been getting the appropriate care this pregnancy. Seems like the OBGYN I go to is just a revolving door. I’m not sure about budget because I am new to this but my birth plan is to do things as I did the first time.
