I plan to give birth at a hospital. I don't know the costs of doula. I was hoping to get something that is covered completely by insurance. Hello I am going to give birth in Troy Beaumont Hospital. We are expecting a first baby and that’s why I think it would be great to find a doula that could guide me thru the process.
I will be giving birth at home with a midwife, her birth assistant & my husband. This is our first child. My husband is going to be taking a month off work but his work schedule once he goes back is extreme, he works between 70-80 hrs a week between two full time jobs. Our budget is between 25-35$ an hour. I'm hoping to have 2 months of meals prepared for postpartum but am nervous about keeping up with household chores & taking care of the home by myself with a newborn once he goes back to work. I will start working on a birth plan with my midwife at 25 weeks. I'm 17 weeks currently. I will be getting a pool and plan to have a water birth but nothing is set as of right now.
