I am considered a high-risk pregnancy due to complications in my previous pregnancy. During my last pregnancy I experienced severe preeclampsia and stopped breathing, which was a life-threatening situation. Because of this history, I want additional support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. A doula can help monitor my well-being, provide emotional and physical support, help reduce stress, and assist with recognizing warning signs early. This support can also help reduce my risk of postpartum complications and improve my overall health outcomes.

I’m looking for an experienced, compassionate, and reliable night nanny/night nurse Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or Overnight Postpartum Doula to help care for my newborn during the overnight hours. As a first-time mom, I’m looking for someone who will not only provide excellent care for my baby but also help guide and support me through the newborn stage. Provider Requirements: * Certified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), postpartum doula, RN, LPN, or equivalent newborn care training preferred. * Infant CPR and First Aid certified (required). * Training in newborn safety, safe sleep practices, and choking response. * At least 3-5 years of experience caring for newborns and infants. * English-speaking. A second language is not necessary. * Preferably age 25 or older with strong references and a calm, nurturing personality. Care Recipient: * Newborn infant. * No known special medical needs. * I plan to breastfeed if possible, but I understand that feeding plans may change depending on my baby’s needs. I’m looking for someone experienced in supporting breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, and formula feeding if needed, while helping me establish a healthy feeding routine. Responsibilities: * Overnight newborn care. * Assist with feedings, burping, diaper changes, soothing, and settling the baby back to sleep. * Monitor the baby’s well-being throughout the night. * Provide guidance and education on newborn care and help build my confidence as a first-time parent. * Support healthy newborn sleep habits (age-appropriate sleep guidance—not formal sleep training for a newborn). * Wash and sanitize bottles and pump parts. * Baby laundry. * Organize and restock the nursery, diaper station, and baby supplies. * Keep all baby-related items clean, organized, and ready for the next day. * Light housekeeping related to the baby only (laundry, bottles, nursery organization, etc.). I’m looking for someone who is patient, knowledgeable, proactive, and genuinely passionate about caring for newborns and supporting new parents.

I prefer to give birth in a birthing center or at home. I do not know the average cost of a doula so I cannot say who my budget is yet. Birthing plan consists of the following but not limited to: vaginal delivery, no induction method unless medically necessary if so then mucous sweep, saline lock, natural pain management options such as massages and breathing exercises, laboring tools as needed, dim and quiet atmosphere, intermittent fetal monitoring, any comfortable laboring position, no delivery intervention, no episiotomy, delayed cord clamping and bath, skin to skin immediately, breastfeeding, I am aware that all of this is subject to change if medical concerns arise. I would like an experienced, informative, kind, and patient professional. I’m 33. This is my first baby. I want a positive experience where I’m not stressed and being forced into doing things that aren’t medically necessary. I would need help with sleep training, breastfeeding, cleaning, laundry, and cooking. I have Tricare East Reserve Select. I will be purchasing MetLife once my baby is born.
