I am planning to give birth at Alma Hospital and am currently looking for a supportive, knowledgeable doula to assist me through labor and delivery. My birth plan is simple and focused on having a safe, healthy delivery for both myself and my baby. I am open to guidance, education, and support throughout the process, especially in managing pain, understanding my options, and advocating for my needs during labor. I am hoping to work with a doula who is certified and experienced in hospital births. Experience with first-time or low-intervention births is a plus. A calm, supportive, and reassuring presence is very important to me. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff are also key. There are no special requirements in terms of additional duties such as cooking, cleaning, or postpartum household support. My primary focus is labor and delivery support, along with breastfeeding and latching support. The care recipient is myself and my newborn. There are no known special needs at this time. I am planning to decide on feeding breastfeeding and bottle feeding and would appreciate a doula who can provide guidance or resources if needed. My budget is based on what my insurance will cover. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and I would like assistance understanding what services may be eligible for coverage or reimbursement. Overall, I am looking for someone who will help me feel confident, supported, and informed during one of the most important experiences of my life.

Hello, I plan to give birth at a hospital; this is my first time! I want to give birth unmedicated and be able to move freely and be active, the only medication I considered is laughing gas and I plan to use a birth comb and breathing techniques. My current practice has a less than ideal reputation but I was unable to move to the OBGYN that I wanted due to how far along I am and I am not sure if I can just go to the other hospital that I prefer once I go into labor. I wanted to labor in warm water but my current OBGYN/hospital doesn’t offer this. I am seeking someone to support me during my labor and intervene if I’m pressured to do something that I do not want. I am not seeking prenatal/postpartum visits or lactation assistance. My insurance is Tricare East - Reserve Select. Thank you!

Hospital unless at home is really an option, I’m not sure of how much a dual cost I guess I will determine if the price is in my budget I’d like a natural calm birth Although I am a little nervous because I will be 40 when this baby is born as well as it being my 8th child. I’d really like some one who can help me navigate the differences in being pregnant this late in life and understanding the pains that are normal for it being an 8 th child. Everyone keeps saying oh it’s going to be painful but I just don’t understand why. I’d like some one with the knowledge of how to naturally relieve pains and and help me feel confident in delivering instead of fearing it. I am older so it dose way in my mind. This little one was a big surprise since I was going through perimenopause. I didn’t even know my body was still able to conceive do to lack of menstruation. But here we are so many questions so many worries feeling like I’m being ignored by the typical medical staff.

Hospital birth, 47 year old second birth. 1st birth vaginal natural. Currently 28 week pregnant with IVF pregnancy. Delayed cord clamping, once cord is is white. Baby stays in the room at all times. Take home placenta. Informed about vaccines K12. All test done on the baby in the room. IV in my hand and removed after birth. No medication, medication intervention if needed., Dad cuts the cord. Different positions- on knees bent over. No student. Doula present Blood type O+, agree to blood transfusion.

Hospital birth with absolutely little to no interventions, no vaccines, freedom of movement and birth position, no cord clamping until it’s white and no longer pulsing. I have a fibroid but have been told I’m still considered low risk. Budget is max $2000, I do have Georgia Medicaid though if a doula accepts that. I basically want everything a home birth is but in a hospital, my partner isn’t comfortable doing a home birth and I have no birth centers near me.
