We plan to give birth at Southern Hills Hospital off sunset and the 215. I’m not entirely sure what our budget would be. I’m just starting my research on Doulas and feel this is definitely a route we would like to go. Ideally I would prefer an unmedicated vaginal birth. Unfortunately I do have genital herpes so depending on if I’m experiencing an outbreak at the time of delivery I might need to have a c-section. If a vaginal birth is able to happen there are things we would like such as delayed cord clamping, no bath, and most likely oral vitamin K versus shot. I would love my delivery to be a pleasant experience as possible; calm environment, minimal checks, etc. My husband is a very calm person in high stress situations but has a hard time with soft motivation. I love him dearly but he’s very business like when it comes to prep talks. I would love a Doula that can fill in for the emotional support that might be lacking during delivery.

I would like to have an advocate at the hospital and someone I can ask questions throughout pregnancy. I am new to Las Vegas and don’t have family here so would like extra support. I don’t know what hospital I will be at yet. I’m still pinpointing the best OB for me. I would like to have a natural in medicated birth.

I plan to give birth at Summerlin Hospital with minimal interventions. I am willing to pay up to $2000 I really would like to have an unmedicated birth with a lot of of support from my partner and to labor mostly at home but in the hospital if they will let me. I want to avoid a c-section very much and make sure there are not a lot of people in my space or people telling me “what i need to do”.
