My journey started when I finished my studies in early childhood education in Brazil and worked with children of all ages including children with emotional and behavioral disorders. One day I had a opportunity to help my friend on her postpartum and I felt so helpful and happy to give her the love and support she needed. After that I immersed myself in the world of motherhood, I felt so passionate and became a postpartum doula. I also had the amazing experience when I had my own sunshine boy, and being a mother is so unique and wonderful but also very challenging. Today I am so accomplished to do my job as a postpartum doula! I know the importance of having a Doula to help, and support a mother and family in their pre-birth, delivery and also in the difficulties encountered in the postpartum journey.

My passion for birth work and mental health comes from a deep calling to serve, uplift, and empower. Every mother deserves to feel supported, heard, and respected throughout her journey, and I am truly honored to be that steady, compassionate presence by your side. Rooted in a tradition that celebrates motherhood, I hold close the beauty of this sacred transition, while also understanding the loneliness it can sometimes bring in today’s fast-paced world. My heart’s mission is to bring light, joy, and comfort to every family I work with—so you never have to walk this path alone. With my background as both a direct care counselor and a certified doula, I take a holistic approach—blending emotional insight with practical guidance. I support families with care for the mind, body, and heart during this profound time of change. More than anything, I want you to feel seen, held, and cherished in your unique journey into parenthood.

Welcome to 3Elders! My name is Carly Riley. I came into this work through my own transition into Motherhood — a time filled with expansion, but also clear gaps in the support new families receive. Today, I provide postpartum care that nurtures healing, attunement, and connection so that Mothers can feel supported as they transition into their new role into community. I dove into various workshops and training sessions which resulted in my Postpartum Doula Certification. In my practice, I draw upon nourishing traditions that support the physiological design of a Mother through: nourishment, warmth, support, loving presence and rest. If a Mother is properly tended to in the first few weeks after giving birth, she has the opportunity to physically heal, to connect with baby, and to slowly integrate back into her community thriving as opposed to surviving. My goal is to create a nurturing space where the Mothers & family feel empowered and validated in their journey through early parenthood. Postpartum care for Mothers isn’t a luxury but a necessity so families and future generations can flourish. I look forward to connecting with you and being a part of your village during this incredible chapter of your life.

"I HIGHLY recommend Joanna Clark!! Before sleep coaching, starting at 5pm like clockwork a meltdown process began. Fighting. Negotiating. Everything was being impacted. It was unmanageable from everyone's perspective. Now, our daughter is more calm, emotionally resilient, confident and content in the evening process. She knows what's coming next and she recognizes that she needs and enjoys some quiet time. This was a structured, methodical process that works. The way Joanna organized everything, seeing it on paper gave me hope that by a certain date we would be successful in the process. The condensed time frame helped us jump off and take the leap of faith. Having an expert we can surrender to, knowing we are totally aligned and knowing our roles was huge in why we were successful. We never believed we would be this successful this fast. I am so glad we didn't let our own ideas of what was going to work or not work impact our momentum, preventing us from seeing this success. We surrendered to the process and the chips fell and now we are on a better path. Thanks for holding us accountable and being flexible. She sleeps 11 hours a night and no more bedtime drama or anxiety!"

Melissa was absolutely wonderful with my newborn! She’s gentle, patient, and clearly very experienced with infants. I felt completely comfortable leaving my baby in her care, she followed all my instructions carefully and kept me updated throughout the time she was watching him. It’s clear she truly loves what she does and cares about the babies she looks after. I would highly recommend Melissa to any parent looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter for their little one!

I want to start off by saying please don’t judge a book by its cover. Having Lisamaria as my doula was absolutely the best decision we made. Having Lisamaria provide support for my family before and after having my son was something I didn’t realize I needed. That no sleep zombie life really messes you up. Having Lisamaria watching my son while I rested aloud me to actually rest knowing he was in amazing hands. Her breath of knowledge and experience was beyond helpful. She taught me tips and tricks that no class or YouTube video taught me. I still remember the struggle I had trying to get my son in the sling so I could have my hands friend. For some reason I just COULD NOT get it. I watched Lisamaria as she just twisted and pulled and made such a cozy little place for my son to sleep and relax in the sling. It took me MULTIPLE times to finally get it down. I was getting pissed and overwhelm but Lisamaria was there helping me every time with all calmness and patience.

As a mother of two and someone who has worked as a CNA, I have developed a deep sense of empathy and patience, which I believe are essential qualities for a sitter. I love being a sitter because it allows me to provide care and support to others while building meaningful connections with people. I enjoy offering comfort and assistance, whether it’s for children, elderly individuals, or those with special needs. In terms of experience, I have worked as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), where I gained hands-on experience in patient care, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring safety and comfort. This role involved working with a wide range of individuals, from young children to the elderly, which has given me a broad understanding of various care needs. In addition to my CNA experience, I am currently studying nursing, which has allowed me to further develop my medical knowledge and skills. I have also completed training in CPR and first aid, which are crucial skills for any sitter. Overall, my combination of personal experience as a mother and professional background in healthcare makes me well-equipped to provide attentive and compassionate care.

✨ Hi friends! I’m Jess (she/her) — a queer birth & postpartum doula based in the Bay Area. I grew up around birth and babies (shoutout to my nurse mom!) and fell in love with supporting new parents early on. After seeing so many of my friends navigate birth and postpartum without the support they deserved and needed, I knew this was the work I was meant to do. I offer care that’s supportive, inclusive, and centered on you—your values, your vision, and your unique journey into parenthood. If you’re pregnant, postpartum, or just dreaming about building your family someday, I’d love to support you. 💛
