I am a 40 year old, pregnant for the first time. Other than my “advanced age” I’m otherwise very healthy. Normal BMI, active, no preconditions. I would like to have a relaxed, minimally medicalized, minimally invasive birth but due to my age, I fear that will be not respected. I am also limited by my insurance to deliver at Yale New Haven Hospital. I would like to have someone who’s an advocate for me, and someone consistent to support me throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. (My current OB doesn’t deliver, which means it’ll happen w whoever is on call). I’m not sure of my budget, as I don’t know what is typical, but I am a postdoc w a fixed income. I will also likely have to take unpaid leave after birth.

I’m looking for a doula who will help me during childbirth, help me understand how everything will happen and have a healthy, peaceful and amazing delivery.

I would like to do a home birth using Tricare insurance coverage upfront only. There is a possibility of postpartum/ night nurse assistance at a later time. Not entirely sure of a "plan" beyond that. Unfortunately, I'm not starting my journey where I'm ending, but attempting to get the ball rolling and start gathering some options to set up interviews when we have hard dates. Hi there! My husband and I are both active duty Navy. I will have to give birth at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Our budget is $3,000-$5,000. My plan is to deliver vaginally with as little invention as possible. I am open to Nitrous gas while pushing but I’d really like to avoid epidural at all. I am more interested in 4th trimester care as I’d like to breast feed.

I plan on giving birth at North Country Hospital. My first child was delivered by midwives and I don't have that option this time around. I am looking for someone who can support me to allow my husband to he as least stressed about my well being as possible. I am also looking for any postpartum support as I will have a 4 year old and my husband will not be able to take paternity leave. My birth wish is to have as little medical intervention as possible (unless I need induction like my first birth). Golden hour is a MUST. I would like to have the olive oil massage on my perineum to avoid tearing. If it's a boy I want him left intact. Freedom to move around and freedom to birth in whatever position I am most comfortable in.

I plan to give birth at Mercy Hospital in North OKC. I am wanting an unmediated natural birth with no induction unless it is absolutely medically necessary. I am wanting my doula to support me in positioning and proper breathing techniques to alleviate pain during labor. I want the cord to be white and not pulsating before my husband clips it. I want the placenta to be delivered on its own. I want to labor at home as long as possible before heading to the hospital. I have Tricare Prime and have been told a doula will be covered.
