Giving birth in a hospital and would like to avoid c section
Hello! I'm a first-time mom who plans on giving birth at Cedar's Sinai, and would like to plan for a vaginal birth. I'm new to this whole process so am not sure exactly what I'll be needing and am mostly just curious if my insurance covers any doula care. My insurance is Aetna Choice POS II, and my ID number is W2834 19281.
I plan to give birth at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank. My due date is July 12. I am looking for an experienced female doula to support me during labor and especially postpartum. I would appreciate help with newborn care, including feeding, bathing, soothing, sleep support, and guidance during the first weeks after birth. I speak English, Armenian, and Russian, and I would prefer a doula who speaks Armenian or Russian, though English is also fine. Experience with first-time mothers is a big plus. I have Health Net through Medi-Cal, so I am looking for a doula whose services are fully covered by my insurance, with no out-of-pocket costs if possible.

Dear Danielle, Happy Passover! I am writing to you as a well known doula that works with Jewish families. I am the Rabbi of Congregation B'nai Emet in Simi Valley (Reform) and the Executive Director of the Sandra Caplan Community Bet Din. Recently, I finished mentorship as a Mohel under a Professor of Urology at Cedars and a Conservative Rabbi - Mohel. I would like to invite you for coffee (after Passover) or a phone call to ask your advice on how I can best serve the needs of families in greater Los Angeles. Would you be open to speaking? Warmly, Rabbi Jason Rosner
Hospital birth. Hoping to go unmedicated. Need someone experienced with pain management and who can help my husband navigate the process. My family won't be supportive of going without an epidural and I don't know how supportive my husband could be if he sees me in a lot of pain. Delayed cord clamping wanted for longer than 60 seconds, until cord turns white. Skin to skin and breastfeeding are important. No Hep B. Surprise gender. Just looking. Unsure of a budget. Just need birth/labor doula. Not postpartum or lactation because I'm a postpsrtum nurse and lactation consultant
I need someone whom I can talk about anxiety with the cost of being an older mom.
