I plan to give birth at home, I do not have much of a budget but I am willing to work through that with the right candidate! This is my first baby so I’m not sure what all is supposed to be in a birth plan so help figuring that out would be great!
Just doing research on my options, highly considering a home birth
We are looking for a birth doula to accompany us with our second baby. 1st baby came into this world at home with no medical interventions and was not a water birth. Birth plan would look the same now, although we are also open to water birth. Budget under 1000 CAD. We arrive back in Canada the 1st of April so are looking to work with someone more for the last few months of pregnancy and at the time of birth specifically. Thank you 🙏
having an advocate who can guide me since this is my first pregnancy. My goal is to be educated and have support throughout this journey as a black woman.
I plan to give birth at Sacred Heart in Spokane, WA, as a FTM. I had searched for a doula about a month ago but was told I needed a c section and we were short on funds so I stopped the search. I have now been cleared for a vaginal delivery and I would love a support person there to assist with my birth plan, while my husband is able to be present.
Hello! My husband and I are looking for a Tricare covered doula to help support our home birth in February!
My name is Lyndsey Klein, and I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, graduating this May. I am enrolled in an Advanced Multicultural Counseling course, and for a course project I am focusing on Black maternal health and disparities in maternity care. I am reaching out to see if any doula or anyone who works within your organization might be willing to participate in a brief interview (approximately 30–45 minutes) to share insights from their professional experience supporting Black mothers. My goal is to better understand systemic barriers, protective factors, and ways mental health professionals can more effectively advocate for and support Black women during pregnancy and postpartum. The interview would be conducted at your convenience (via Zoom or phone), and I would be happy to provide any additional information about the assignment if helpful. I deeply value the work doulas do in improving maternal outcomes and supporting families, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to learn from your team. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Warmly, Lyndsey Klein
Everything related to pregnancy. It’s been a struggle trying to figure things out.
Hello, I am a FTM who plans to give birth at Sacred Heart in Spokane, WA. I had searched for a doula about a month ago but was told I needed a c section and we were short on funds so I stopped the search. I am an IVF patient that isn't quite conceived yet, but I have my embryo transfer on December 9th , so even though it isn't forsake that I will be pregnant then, I want to start looking into doulas now. I want one that Is kind and patient but advocates for what I want more than what they think is best. I want one that understands me possibly wanting an epidural and also the struggles that I have faces to get where I am. I plan to give birth in a hospital, I have insurance that I plan on using with my progeny benefit. I want a calm environment with lights, and calm music , I want counter pressures, and birthing combs or essential oils used if possible.
I plan to have a natural hospital birth and have the help and aid of a doula for knowledge and support
In hospital. Need someone to advocate on my behalf when I am in pain and unable to advocate on my own. Budget is $1400 don’t have a birth plan yet
I want to give birth at home but if anything want an advocate to give birth at hospital. I can’t afford anything and want to know my options
I have 3 children, and I want to do a fully unmediated birth
Looking for support for my labour and delivery. Someone who can accommodate my needs and coach/assist me through this. I’m looking to have a minimal- no intervention water birth and would be important to have someone who is experienced in this. This is my second pregnancy; my last delivery was unmedicated (besides pitocin) delivered vaginally with no complications. I am set up to give birth at the hospital at this moment but if I did happen to find a midwife/doula I would be interested in a home birth if I had the right supports set up. My estimated budget would be 900-1200$ Here is my detailed birth plan so far if I do end up giving birth in the hospital. Birth plan: -Low lights, fairy lights electric candles set up sound healing music. -Breathe through contractions -No epidural, Water birth. Maybe laughing gas if pain is really bad. -Absolutely no being induced -Natural water rupture. -No membrane sweep. -Privacy minimal staff in room no students.(having students learn while in labour made me stressed and feel uneasy) -Intermittent monitoring not continuously monitoring. -Delay cord clamping 7-15 min. Cord is white -Are cervix checks necessary? Only checked if requested by me -Do I have to stay in hospital if I had no interventions? -Naturally birth placenta, no pitocin or cord traction. -Wait for my body to push on its own no forced pushing. -No fundal massage unless there excessive bleeding. -Vitamin k drops not injected.
1. Where do you plan to give birth (home/hospital)? Hospital. 2. Provide your estimated budget Our estimated budget for doula support is $1,500. We are most interested in meaningful support that focuses on emotional reassurance, breastfeeding guidance, and helping us adjust during the early postpartum period. 3. Describe your birth plan This is my first baby, so I’m keeping my birth plan flexible and open-minded. My main goal is to feel calm, supported, and informed throughout the process. I plan to give birth in a hospital and would like to aim for a low-intervention birth if possible, while fully trusting medical guidance if plans need to change. Emotional support and reassurance are very important to me, especially as someone who can feel anxious in new situations. My priorities include: Feeling supported and advocated for during labor My partner being involved and supported as well Skin-to-skin contact after birth if possible Support with early breastfeeding and latching A calm, positive environment that helps reduce stress and overwhelm I value guidance, reassurance, and gentle encouragement over a rigid birth plan, and I’m looking for support that helps me feel confident as I transition into motherhood.
Help with my new born and the myself as well. Baby is 3 days old. I prefer a Nigerian, if not available any experienced souls is fine. At least must have taken care of 10 new born babies, should have first aid certification…especially experienced with new borns. We are in the NorthWest quadrant, will also be nice if doula drives and can take me to my post partum appointment, not mandatory tho
