Find Birth Doula Jobs Near Nelson, BC

I plan to give birth at my home. I am unsure about my budget, since I don't know what this type of support costs. I would like to give birth at home, with my partner, a doula and a midwife. I would like a woman to assist me in birthing. I would like a natural, peaceful birth.

I will be having the baby at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, but I have always been interested in the option of a home birth, I haven’t fully decided. A budget is undecided since I am not sure what a midwife or doula typically costs. I am very early so I don’t have a birth plan just yet, but I do know that I think it’s important to have an additional support with me to advocate for what I will want. My choices may seem controversial to medical personnel.

I had a c section my first birth and it's a goal to do it naturally if I can with some support and help. Is like to labor as long as positive at home

I am going to be delivering in the hospital hopefully at the midwife section of the hospital. Not sure what my budget looks like just getting some ideas. I want to do it as naturally as possible. I have horrible birth trauma from my first baby. I was induced and fear mongered into getting an epidural. Second baby was a home birth and that was a very last minute decision that led me to the hospital after delivery due to massive hemorrhage. I don’t know what kind of techniques we can use during labor to help the process but I’m open to try things.

Looking for a doula or a midwife to assess me during my pregnancy Journey. My wife and I have been working with the Olive Clinic in Kelowna, BC, and got pregnant with IUI. I am 32 years old, this is my first pregnancy and I do not have a family doctor. I am interested in learning about home births vs hospital.
