I am seeing an OBGYN at the University of Utah hospital here in Salt Lake but I am searching for a doula that could advocate for my more natural leaning birth plan in case I am unable to do so. This is my first baby and I am more wholistic minded but do not completely trust that the hospital will respect my wishes and I am hoping to find someone that will be consistent with my wishes and advocate for them where needed. I am also looking for someone that is covered by Aetna insurance.

Looking for support and education for a hospital birth (Intermountain Medical Center) which will be supervised by our obstetrician. Hoping for minimum necessary medical intervention (e.g. no or low-dose epidural). Hoping to focus on breathing, mindset, mobility during delivery. Also looking for lactation consultant support as needed. Certified doula and lactation consultant required. We are a 29 year old first time mom with supportive spouse. English language primary. Budget around $3,000 total but open to negotiation.

Hospital birth, 300/400 dollar budget, want an unmedicated vaginal birth, a provider who has certification

My wife and I are expecting our first child in Late September. We have family here in the valley but we've been advised on the benefits of hiring a doula for both the birthing and postpartum phases. My wife has expressed to me the difficulties she's had with managing anxieties about things that can go wrong so any resources we can use to prepare for both pre and post partum depression would be something we're interested in too. We'd like to have those resources identified and ready to take advantage of before we need them. We are currently planning on scheduling the birth at IMC.

I plan to do a home birth, this is my first baby. Our budget for a doula is ideally around $1,000 The best fit is someone who is intuitive and has a natural gift for this work (water moon signs and past life experiences as a mother or doula are a bonus ;) hahah) I want to feel we are connected in a deeper way, plus we might want to work with you again for my future babies. If this job is viewed as just another momma/ client than we may not be the best fit. We prefer someone English speaking I would like you to support me postpartum with 2-8 visits where you can bring me nourishing pads, Epsom salt soaks, foot rubs, baby support, etc. I hope you can also support my partner during birth, guiding him through the process and what/say to me if it feels needed.

I’m a first time mom considering doula services for my birth. I plan to have an unmedicated water birth at the university of Utah hospital with an OB provider. I have a partner who is supportive and wants to be involved in the birthing experience but may require some assistance.

Tricare certified is a must. Plan to give birth at a hospital but would like it to be as natural an experience as possible.

I'm planning on having a hospital birth. I'd love to find a doula that is covered by insurance. I'm still putting together a more detailed birth plan currently since we recently found out we're expecting our 2nd baby.

I would like to give birth here at my apartment or at a local birth center. Not a hospital but somewhere where I can birth possibly in water & just naturally. I did my last baby natural in the hospital & I loved it so I don’t see a point going to the hostpial again. I would just like it to be as cheap as possible.

I plan on giving birth at LDS hospital in SLC. I’m taking hypnobirthing classes, and hoping to give birth in a tub. My husband won’t be present, but my mom will, she doesn’t speak Spanish so I’m hoping to find someone bilingual, but if that’s not possible I’m okay with that. I want someone that can advocate for me when I can’t. I’m also looking for someone that would accept Tricare West insurance.

4th baby I have had pretty quick labor and deliveries my first 2 was a 5 hour start to finish upon arrival to birth o had epidurals with them however my 3rd was born 9 minutes after arriving at the hospital no epidural. I was in NY with midwives at Stonybrook hospital and my friends mom who’s the head of midwifery delivered my last and my friends cousin delivered my second so I’ve had very comfortable familiar experiences. My first I delivered with an obgyn who was my regular provider bc it was my first and I was nervous and wanted a dr. She gave me an episotomy which was a tougher recovery I tore a tiny bit in that scar line with my second but my friends mom really supported everything and bc it was so quick I didn’t tear at all with my 3rd. I do not want an episotomy and I want the OB to support so I don’t tear. I’m having more birth anxiety than I had the past 3 times bc my environment is new and I’m 6 years older than I was at my last birth. I understood how to push and it was luckily never an issue however I’m older and I had back surgery two years ago a lamenectomy and disectomy so that changes things maybe a bit. My first 3 were back to back in three years and this is an unexpected surprise I thought I was done but life had other plans. I’m more nervous than I ever have been about this birth though and thought a doula could maybe help…. I’m giving birth at park city hospital my due date it Jan 24 but my last three were all 3-7 days early. After care would also be a consideration since we are away from family and have 3 other school aged kids.

This is my second baby. I am 17weeks, due Feb 11th. Plan to give birth at hospital in Utah County. My first birth I was a clinical trial patient for the Materna Prep Device up in Idaho (loved it). I had a epidural early and was induced due to my child measuring 10lbs...she was 7lbs. Though they halved my induction dose and lowered the pitocinto almost nothing it was a birth that was very hard on both my child and myself (didn't love that part her heart kept stopping). I'm looking for someone who can help me avoid induction (my husband doesnt return from military basic training until a week before so we are trying to keep this baby in as long as posisble), minimize intervention due to a low drug tolerance that is a little unpredictable, can help me give birth without pushing ( just letting my body do it if possible totally fine if I gotta push though), and advocate for me (incase my husband isnt there but even if he is he won't be here the whole pregnancy so catching him up will be difficult). I also wont be in the area until Decemeber 22nd, I'm in St. George right now but moving to Utah Valley area then.

Hello, I’m looking for a postpartum/night doula. I’ve never used one before, but this is my third and most likely last baby and i don’t want to regret never using those services. I’m currently 37 weeks, high risk, and i have HG pregnancies, so I’m wanting to give myself some help postpartum as well as to my husband, to transition to a family of 5 without over-using my family support network. Located in Heber Valley. Because this is new to me, I’m unsure of all that it entails . I would love to know what services you offer, pricing, about you etc. to see if we make a good fit. Since I’m still pregnant, I’m unsure of a starting date. The care would most likely be to help do any light chores, and help me (and my husband) get the most sleep we can in the early days.
