I'd like a doula for prenatal consultation(s), labor support, and breastfeeding education/assistance. We'd like to cap out out-of-pocket budget around $1,000, if possible. We live in Jersey City and would like some local, with strong certifications and experience.

Hello, My name is Daja Gilliam, and I'm currently in my third trimester. I'm reaching out because I'm looking for a doula who can provide the support and advocacy I've been missing throughout my pregnancy. Unfortunately, I haven't received the prenatal care I needed for much of my pregnancy due to switching OB-GYNs and dealing with other challenges. As a result, I've often felt dismissed during appointments, and it's been difficult to feel heard or supported by my medical providers. I'm hoping to find a doula who can be a supportive presence during the remainder of my pregnancy, help me prepare for birth, and provide reassurance and advocacy during labor and delivery. Having someone in my corner who will listen, help me ask questions, and support my birth preferences would mean a great deal to me. I’m looking for an experienced, certified birth and postpartum doula for pregnancy, labor, birth, and daytime postpartum support (no overnight care). I have Cigna Open Access Plus (CGHB), and Cigna has confirmed my doula benefit, so I’m looking for a provider who can bill Cigna directly. I plan to breastfeed and would appreciate breastfeeding and newborn support.

Planning to give birth at Lenox Hill hospital in NYC. We are looking for a postpartum doula AND night nurse, someone who can help me adjust postpartum and care for me and my baby.
