Cloe is a Birth and Postpartum Doula with over 10 years experience in childcare. She refers to her background in early childhood education and motherhood to provide evidence based guidance with a nurturing touch. Cloe also has her CLC and will be working towards an IBCLC to help new families achieve a positive lactation experience.

Recent review

We worked with Cloe as both a birth and postpartum night doula during and after the birth of our first child. I had a very successful labor and attribute much of that to Cloe's knowledge, compassion, and advocacy. She worked extremely well with my OB and the hospital nursing staff, and I felt so supported. When we got home from the hospital, it was an immense comfort knowing that Cloe would be there to help us through our first night, and many of the nights that followed. Thanks to her guidance, I have also had a smooth breastfeeding experience. My husband and I would strongly recommend Cloe to any expecting person, and, while I am sure that Cloe would be fabulous in any situation, I would particularly refer her to those hoping to have the support of a doula while also seeking a hospital birth.

Julie was an absolute lifesaver for our family. She helped us set our baby up for sleep success and gave us such great breastfeeding advice. Julie's emotional support for mom was just what we needed, and her incredible care and attention as our baby grew and her needs changed were so reassuring. It felt like Julie became a part of our family during that time, and her presence made everything so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for a better postpartum doula and are so grateful for everything she did for us. Highly recommended!

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support I received from my birth and postpartum doula, Kei. From my third trimester all the way through labor and the first four weeks postpartum, Kei was a constant source of guidance, comfort, and strength. Kei provided me with an abundance of resources, including recipes, guides, exercises, and daily affirmations, which were invaluable during my pregnancy. She was instrumental in helping me stick to my birthing plan, yet was flexible and adaptive when changes were necessary during labor and delivery. One of the many thoughtful gestures Kei made was gifting me a birth exercise ball and warm compresses for breastfeeding. Her knowledge on breastfeeding and pumping was extensive; she not only educated me on the process but also made me a special lactation tea that significantly helped increase my milk production. Her hands-on approach in showing me how to breastfeed, along with tips for storage, was incredibly reassuring for a first-time mom like me. Kei's expertise didn't stop there. She helped our baby accept a pacifier, something we struggled with on our own, and showed us various tools and techniques to soothe our baby during those tough middle-of-the-night crying spells. Her 24/7 availability was a lifeline, especially when I experienced Braxton Hicks contractions and needed reassurance. During labor, Kei's support was unwavering. She stayed with me for over 24 hours in the hospital, ensuring I never lacked anything, whether it was physical comfort or emotional encouragement. Kei's presence gave me the confidence and strength I needed to navigate this new chapter of my life. I left this experience not just with a supportive doula but with a life-long friend. I wholeheartedly recommend Kei's doula services to anyone seeking comprehensive prenatal and postpartum support. Her dedication, compassion, and expertise are unmatched. Thank you, Kei, for being an indispensable part of my journey into motherhood.

Hey yall hey, your Brooklyn-based doula Ebony, here to guide you on your empowered birthing journey. ✊ My path to birthwork stemmed from a deep yearning for the feminine wisdom that was often missing in my own experience✨ That yearning ignited a passion in me to empower women to rediscover their inherent birthing power. I believe in women-managed birth, a philosophy rooted in the understanding that birth is a natural, physiological process, deeply connected to a woman's inner wisdom and strength. My approach honors the tradition of women-managed birth, drawing inspiration from the time before hospitals and doctors took center stage. I believe in trusting your body's incredible wisdom and supporting you in making informed choices throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Together, let's rewrite the narrative around birth. Let's tap into the wellspring of feminine knowledge within you and create a birthing experience that is positive, powerful, and unforgettable.

If you wish to contact me and schedule an appointment, please visit my website https://thelaborlounge.org/contact/ Ines Serna is a mother, childbirth educator, and doula with a Master of Health Sciences in Public Health. She became interested in pregnancy and the birth process after having her first child in 2010. Shortly after, Ines started working for the childbirth education department at a prestigious Bergen County hospital, where she gained a great deal of knowledge about maternity services. After the birth of her second child in 2014, she decided to become a childbirth educator. Through her two birth experiences, she realized that the power of knowledge can have a positive impact on birth outcomes. While working as a childbirth educator at the hospital, Ines saw the necessity of giving additional support to her clients. She has trained with DONA International to obtain all the required skills to assist mothers during the birth process. Ines is dedicated to expanding her knowledge by attending maternal and child health conferences, seminars, and networking with health professionals in the community. Ines’s extensive hospital experience has allowed her to see and understand the need to continue advocating for patient-centered care. She believes a patient’s personal preferences, such as values, cultural traditions, family support, and lifestyles, must be taken into consideration. Ines is passionate about supporting expectant parents by making sure they understand that they have options before, during, and after birth. She firmly believes that EVERY woman deserves a good support network. A network that consists of health professionals, along with family, friends, and, of course, the support of a doula, is the greatest gift parents can experience in their lifetime. Aliya is amazing! She helped me write my birth plan, offered different things I didn’t even know I wanted and schooled both me and my partner on things we had no knowledge about. She made me feel more confident going into my induction. (Babygirl didn’t wanna come out) She was there for basically the whole thing. She supported me in ways I can’t thank her enough for. She made sure all my needs were met and the doctors were doing exactly what I asked. I truly don’t know what I would’ve done without her.
