Sudarat Insawas Birth & Postpartum Doula in Piedmont, CA

Sudarat is amazing! She takes the time to listen to what you need. She was great with our newborn girl and knew how to soothe her. We especially loved how she would engage with her during playtime and even while changing diapers. She would always talk to her and cheer her on. Sudarat is also very proactive. We loved how she would organize and replenish our diaper station, take out the diaper trash, clean bottles, and do baby laundry. Sudarat is very attentive, patient, calm and friendly. She’s also eager to offer her support and learn more. Our family was so grateful to have her and would welcome her again anytime!

We had the privilege of having Sudarat support our family and newborn twins for a mix of both night and day shifts. Sudarat was knowledgeable and incredibly nurturing with our twin boys. She worked with us to maintain our current routine and was great at communicating the boys progress throughout the day/night. Sudarat is incredibly knowledgeable about newborns and also in continuing her training around newborn care. I really appreciate knowing that the boys were in her capable care during the night, giving us so much needed rest in those early days. Lastly, I appreciated having her support during the days which allowed me to keep up with projects around the house and focus on pumping while I was building my milk supply.

Sudarat worked with my family as a postpartum doula. I, the mother, had a very difficult recovery, and we hired her to help with our newborn during the day when my husband went back to work and I was still very weak. The easiest way to explain how much we loved working with Sudarat is we now compare every other caregiver to Sudarat as a benchmark for quality: “Oh, this person is wonderful with our son. She’s not Sudarat, but she’s still very good.” Our son never fussed when Sudarat was here, he always seemed happy, peaceful, entertained. He napped nicely with her, she taught us about napping schedules early on, but wasn’t overbearing about it. She would have chats with him throughout the day, and when you watched them, this little 5 week old genuinely seemed to be engaged in communication. She would give us little observations, like she noticed he responded more to sound than touch.. he relaxed more with a soothing sound than a gentle bounce. She was also responsible, punctual, always good humored, and a complete pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend her enough.
