Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Yael Woods, and I have had the deep honor of serving as a birth, postpartum, fertility, and bereavement doula for the past eight years. In that time, I’ve walked alongside countless families through some of the most sacred and powerful moments of their lives. My work is rooted in a fierce passion for honoring the body’s innate wisdom, supporting the full spectrum of reproductive experiences, and advocating for safer, more respectful care for all birthing people. As a current student midwife, I am continually expanding my clinical knowledge and deepening my commitment to physiological birth and evidence-based care. My mission is to reduce the alarming rates of maternal and infant mortality especially among marginalized communities by providing compassionate, culturally competent, and individualized support before, during, and after birth. Whether you are navigating fertility, preparing to give birth, healing postpartum, or grieving a loss, I am here to hold space, offer guidance, and walk with you every step of the way. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my son and partner, going to concerts, writing and hitting the beach.

I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, where I dove deeply into my passion for pediatrics and perinatal care. I am board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and I am a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), Webster Technique Certified, and advanced proficient in Torque Release Technique. As an active board executive of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) campus club, I continued my journey by completing the ICPA series and have received my Certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) to specialize in Pediatric and Perinatal care. During my time at Life University, I immersed myself in various chiropractic techniques including Activator, Diversified, Thompson, Webster, and Advanced Pediatric Techniques. Under the mentorship of Dr. Drew Rubin, an esteemed ICPA instructor, I honed my skills in examining and adjusting pediatric, perinatal, and neurodiverse populations. My personal health journey led me to chiropractic care after struggling with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and enduring numerous other surgeries. Since experiencing the transformative power of chiropractic adjustments, I've been free from POTS symptoms. This shift inspired me to pursue chiropractic education and dedicate myself to serving others. Reflecting on my own health challenges, I'm passionate about advocating for early chiropractic intervention, during pregnancy and infancy. I believe in empowering families with knowledge about the nervous system, anatomy, and wellness choices, nurturing a community of informed decision-makers in Seattle. Outside of my professional pursuits, I find joy in staying active, walking my sweet dog Betsy, and exploring the natural beauty of Seattle with my husband. I'm also an avid supporter of the Seattle Seawolves rugby team, always anticipating Friday evening games! My mission is to inspire families in Seattle about the transformative potential of quality chiropractic care, particularly in the perinatal and pediatric realms. By nourishing connections within the community and providing education, I strive to support families on their wellness journeys and facilitate healthier nervous systems from the earliest stages of life. You can find me at both of our amazing locations in Seattle AND Kirkland!

I specialize in overnight care for new families. I maintain certification as a postpartum doula, have completed training as an advanced newborn care specialist, and have worked with over 50 families in the last three years. I become a member of the family I work with and am committed to being a part of your team. I am warm, personable, and develop a sense of mutual respect with my clients. As a doula and newborn care specialist I am akin to a walking, talking baby book that is forever being updated on current trends and safety standards.

Meri is a doula extraordinaire. We slept so peacefully knowing our baby was well taken care of, loved and carefully watched all night. Meri is meticulous, communicative, thoughtful and a wealth of knowledge, especially for us first-time parents. Meri became part of our family during her weeks with us and we couldn't have survived that fragile postpartum time without her. Not only would we wake up to all the baby tasks done (perfectly), but she was a strong support system for all the postpartum changes for me as a mother. Hiring Meri was beneficial to our baby, our sleep, our marriage, my mental health and so many other aspects of our life. We already miss her dearly and highly recommend her to anyone looking for this type of care.

A dedicated, capable, and broadly skilled Full Spectrum Doula. My skillset has flourished in the years I’ve spent in professional birth and postpartum care. Having supported over 300 families through pregnancy, labor and birth, and even hundreds more in postpartum, as well as a foundation of 20+ years of NCS experience, I am a seasoned Doula based here in metro Seattle / Tacoma. My competencies are built on the foundation of full-spectrum experience of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I walk hand in hand with families through first, second, and third births as well as the many in-between variations of the experience of growing family. It is important to me to practice with a calm and clear mind, helping to build your confidence and awareness early on, helping you assert your autonomy confidently to be in charge of your experience. At the heart of my work as your doula are the values of trust, honesty, reliability and non-judgmental support. There is no one right way to become a family. My role is to help you feel sure of what is right for you.

Nori was the whole reason my birth experience went as smoothly as it did. Not only did she prepare me and my husband for what would likely occur, but she prepped us beforehand with research behind the decisions that are made during these moments. This was so unbelievably smart and helpful to discuss beforehand, so we didn’t have to make any hard decisions during labor. Nori also provided such a comfort, not only physically, but emotionally and mentally. She helped my husband learn ways to help me manage labor pains, paid attention to what sort of environment I preferred, and even took photos of us with our newborn. I can’t imagine not choosing Nori!

I became a doula because I am passionate about creating positive and nurturing labor experiences for all. I want to make you feel empowered to follow your natural instincts throughout labor so you have a deep sense of pride and accomplishment when you are holding your newborn. I will support any choice you make about how you wish to labor. I believe that true empowerment is about your ability to choose what is right for your body.

I bring a nonjudgmental listening ear and helping hand, and want the whole family to feel brighter every time I'm there. I offer a sliding scale for solo parents, LGBTQIA+ families, BIPOC families, and low income folks - please reach out if you need some assistance!

In a world of social media, “parenting experts” are everywhere - the information overload can be so overwhelming and paralyzing, especially as first time parents… enter Zoe. The hardest thing to embrace as a first time mum was knowing how much you don’t know, so having support, both hands on and virtually, from a postpartum doula made all the difference. Zoe’s knowledge in childcare and child development, as well as postpartum care (with a genuine emphasis on CARE) has made all the difference in our first three months as parents. Any new parents know it’s easy to feel like you’re blundering through, and just trying to survive. Zoe’s demeanor is that of, “you are the parents, you are experts in YOUR child,” as she guides us with her own expertise. She has not only helped to educate, but has given us the tools and encouragement to implement new practices for ourselves. From answers about baby sleep - both naps and nighttime, routines and schedules, lactation support, to the ever important parental care (self care IS caring for your baby, thanks for the reminder, Zoe), developmental milestones, and even playtime (how do you play with a baby? Zoe knows). She has been a delight to work with, her communication is excellent, and in a time that can be frightening and isolating, Zoe has ensured that post partum is not something we ever felt “alone” in. After working with Zoe, it is impossible to think of how different our experience would have been without her, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with her, and will hopefully get to work with her again for future children

Hi, I’m Elena (she/her), a certified postpartum doula! I grew up bilingual, speaking German and Italian, and developed a deep love for connection through language. Becoming a mom changed everything for me, and it revealed just how crucial support is in those early days of parenting. It inspired me to follow my true calling: nurturing new parents and helping them build a strong foundation for this incredible chapter of their lives. My approach is deeply influenced by the German tradition of Wochenbett, which emphasizes rest, recovery, and bonding in the weeks after childbirth. I strive to create a nurturing space with personalized care that fosters connection, ease, and confidence as families grow into their new roles. I bring warmth, empathy, and a calming presence to every family I support, honoring the unique needs of each household. It’s a profound honor to walk alongside parents during one of the most tender times of their lives. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll find me exploring new places with my husband and son, practicing yoga, or simply soaking in the beauty around us.

My husband, of over 30 years, and I have three grown children. We are super excited to be living in Kitsap Co. again after being away for most of our married lives. As a certified Doula, postpartum doula and Childbirth Educator I enjoy all aspects of the birth process, providing kind, experienced support before, during and after labor. Your birth should be a beautiful, empowering experience in the environment of your choice. I will be by your side to support your choices, give physical, emotional, and informational support as well as advocate for you during decision making. Please consider me as part of your support team as you navigate this important time in your life.

If I could give a rating higher than five stars, I would! Jocelyn was able to take over and advocate for me when I was unable to do it myself, and when my partner and I were unsure of what decisions to make before and during the delivery process. She was there for us from the early stages of labor to when our baby was in my arms for the first time. She is both knowledgeable and creative in her methods and had answers to all our questions. She far exceeded the expectations we had and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for doula services.
