Desiree was with me through my entire pregnancy! She helped to advocate for me, helped me make educated and informed decisions when it came to my pregnancy, and was wonderful when it came time for me to have my son. She helped to keep me calm, communicate my needs to the nurses and make sure everyone was on the same page so that I could be focus on my birth. I absolutely recommend Desiree! She is caring, supportive, and has a fiery passion for your birthing needs!

I am a midwife committed to keeping birth safe for both mother and baby through evidence-based care. My practice style emphasizes informed consent and refusal, as well as trauma-informed care, so that families feel respected, supported, and empowered throughout their journey. Providing home birth care allows me to walk alongside families in a setting where they feel most comfortable and confident welcoming their new baby. I am passionate about creating an environment where families feel supported, empowered, and truly heard as they welcome their little ones into the world. Before becoming a midwife, I served nine years in the United States Marine Corps, including a tour to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009. My time in the military shaped my resilience, discipline, and deep commitment to service—qualities I now bring into my work with families. When my husband and I first found out we were expecting, I started researching birth like a madwoman - determined to leave no stone unturned! I wanted to be prepared, but most of all, I was afraid. I was terrified of the unknown and all the horror stories I had seen on TV and heard from other women. As I educated myself, I became fascinated with birth and the amazing way God has created women's bodies to bring life into the world. My anxieties were soothed; birth didn’t have to be scary and miserable! It can be purposeful and empowering! I was able to experience doula support firsthand as a first-time mom, and the difference it made to have someone who knows birth and what was normal, to hold my hand and apply counterpressure to my aching back, and to encourage and support my husband as well was huge. Shortly after my first birth experience, I started the processs to become a doula myself. During my certification, I was able to aid in several different labors. It was a blessing to be able to learn with these mamas during such a beautiful and intimate part of their lives. Now, I am blessed to walk with women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum pretty consistently, and I can say that there is absolutely nothing like watching women achieve their birth goals together with their husbands. That moment of disbelief, triumph, and sweet relief when baby is born and they realize it is over and they DID IT! I find myself praising God all the more after each experience!

Hi! I am a birth doula serving Tarrant and Parker counties. I specialize in hospital birth, and have experience with high risk moms, as well as moms who have experienced previous birth, medical, or other trauma. I love empowering and educating moms to be able to make their own confident decisions! I believe that birth support isn’t a luxury service. I am able to break my free up into multiple payments, and can accept HSA. I also work with an organization that might be able to provide a doula at no cost to you for those who qualify. Contact me today to schedule a free consultation to see if I would be a good fit for you!

I found Cynthia in a panic around 36 weeks pregnant, after my original doula didn’t work out. I had accepted the fact that I wouldn’t have a doula & it was probably too late to find someone. Cynthia heard my story and quickly took me under her wing. She helped me with prepping for labor, gave me tools to get the baby in an optimal position, & as a bonus, became a bff to my toddler! This was my first home birthing experience so I was so thankful she was willing to help me. When it came time that I went into labor, Cynthia was quick to be here & assist me. I labored extremely quick & there is no way I could have handled my wild labor without her. She kept me calm & reminded me I could do it & to breath through the contractions. She helped me clear my head space & stay grounded. I will forever be thankful for Cynthia & highly recommend her! If I decide to have more babies, I will definitely be using her again.

I wasn’t sure I would need a doula or not. This was my second unmedicated birth and my first went well so we questioned the value. When I tell you it made my birth experience tremendously different, it made a world of difference. My birth this time was about half the time of my first and the contractions picked up quickly. It was amazing to have someone guide my labor the whole way, time contractions for me, play my playlist, help do hip squeezes and comfort measures before I even asked for them. There was a point when I had stalled and my midwife suggested breaking my water to help progress things. I was in laborland and couldn’t think at that point, and Jody guided me through the risk and reward factors to help me make an informed choice. Having her helped my husband be less anxious because he had her knowledge and support to lean on. She knew when to step in and when to step back. If birth had a best friend, it would be Jody. I highly recommend her to anyone in or out of hospital for any birth, but especially if your goal is an unmedicated birth, book her now and thank me later!

My journey as a birth and postpartum doula began over five years ago from a deep calling to support families during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives. I have always believed that birth and the postpartum period are not just medical events, but sacred transitions that deserve care rooted in dignity, advocacy, emotional safety, and education. Through my work with Affirmative Parenting Solutions LLC and Love How You Heal, I have had the privilege of walking alongside diverse families, offering evidence-informed, trauma-responsive, and faith-centered doula care. As a birth doula, I have supported clients through a wide range of birth experiences, including unmedicated vaginal births, epidural-assisted labors, inductions, and cesarean deliveries. One client I supported was a first-time mother who entered labor with significant anxiety due to a previous traumatic medical experience. My role included prenatal education sessions focused on understanding the birth process, coping strategies for labor, and clarifying her birth preferences. During labor, I provided continuous emotional reassurance, hands-on comfort measures such as counter-pressure and guided breathing, and advocacy support to ensure her voice was respected in the delivery room. After birth, she shared that having a consistent, calm presence made her feel empowered and safe during a process she once feared. In the postpartum setting, my work has centered on supporting families as they adjust physically, emotionally, and practically to life with a newborn. I have provided overnight and daytime postpartum care for families navigating sleep deprivation, feeding challenges, and emotional overwhelm. For example, I supported a family welcoming their second child while managing postpartum mood concerns. Services included infant care so the parent could rest, assistance with breastfeeding positioning and pumping routines, light household support, and emotional check-ins to normalize the highs and lows of the postpartum experience. I also helped connect the family to additional mental health and community resources when needed, reinforcing that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. Through Affirmative Parenting Solutions LLC, my doula practice has emphasized inclusive, affirming care that meets families where they are. I have worked with single parents, blended families, and families from culturally diverse backgrounds, ensuring that care plans are personalized, respectful, and responsive. My services often include childbirth education, birth planning, labor support, postpartum recovery education, newborn care guidance, and sibling adjustment support. With Love How You Heal, my work integrates a healing-centered approach that acknowledges the emotional and spiritual dimensions of birth and parenting. I support clients in processing their birth experiences, rebuilding confidence in their bodies, and nurturing their mental and emotional well-being. This includes intentional listening, reflective support, and practical tools for self-regulation during the postpartum period. Across all settings, my approach is grounded in advocacy, compassion, and empowerment. I believe every parent deserves to feel informed, supported, and affirmed in their choices. Whether I am providing hands-on labor support, postpartum education, or simply holding space for a parent to be seen and heard, my goal remains the same: to walk alongside families with care that honors their strength, resilience, and unique journey into parenthood.

**If you are unable to afford a doula, I offer low to no cost service every month to a limited amount of families. Let me be your personal hype woman. I am an Air Force Veteran turned Birth Worker. I became a doula because while in the military, I was displaced from having a support system. When I got pregnant, I had to give birth in a community that looked nothing like me. I was also wildly uninformed about the rates of maternal morbidity amongst black women. These coupled ideas made me feel really uneasy about my birthing experience. I wanted to make a difference after my experience and becoming a doula turned out to be my life's passion. I pride myself on being open-minded, spiritual, and will provide you with a calm reassuring presence during your pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum.

Hey there! My name is Julie Davidson and I am a professionally certified birth doula, chidlbirth educator, and virtual birth coach. I live in The Colony, TX with my son Elliot, my husband Dennis, and our giant dog Franklin. My love for birth was born during my pregnancy with Elliot. I was always totally scared of labor, but after hiring a doula and diving into my own education and research... my fear turned into faith. As I learned how beautiful pregnancy and birth can be + how different your experience can be if you are educated and informed + how much you really are in control of... it all became less scary. I knew pretty much immediately that I wanted to be a guide and support to other moms on this journey. I have worked dozens of families and seeing them welcome their baby into this world with strength and bravery NEVER gets old. I'd love to support you! Send me a DM, text or email and we'll hop on a free discovery call to see if we'd be a good fit :)

Julie stepped into our lives as an overnight postpartum doula during a stressful season of postpartum recovery. We had medical complications with the birth that required mom to be on modified bedrest and the timeline of healing was unknown. Julie handled the chaos of an unknown recovery and a newborn with grace and understanding. She ensured mom was able to get rest at night, all while keeping baby safe and assisting with light household chores. Julie was/is an essential part of postpartum recovery. We consider her like family.

I aspire to create a safe, welcoming, and accepting space for my clients. My passion in counseling lies in working with clients on their path to, through, and after pregnancy. I believe in the process of counseling and that it takes courage and strength to face your challenges. My theoretical orientation for therapy is person-centered, therefore I believe in the capacity for growth and healing within individuals. Sometimes, extra support may be needed to facilitate that growth and healing. My approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that people strive to discover and be their true selves, which can be achieved through a therapeutic relationship based on non-judgement, empathy, and genuineness. My role as a counselor is to provide guidance, support, boundaries, and resources in order to help clients work towards their desired goals for counseling.
