I will be having a home birth I don’t know what my budget is my birth plan is to have my baby at home. Do everything at home?

Looking for a birth doula for additional support through unmedicated childbirth and possibly postpartum support and education. I’m giving birth at the Mercy Midwifery Birthing Center. I’m not sure about cost for Doula but my max would be $500 altogether. Right now I don’t have much of a birth plan aside from using laughing gas as pain management as needed. I don’t know what else I need to include or consider.

I plan to give birth at Home. My budget is $4000-$5000. I would like to have a water birth, no vaccinations for my baby, and no shots for pain. I would like for My Husband to be with me to be able to support me during pushing stages. I would like a mirror to see my baby’s birth. I would like for it to be as quiet as possible. I would like the lights to be dim. I would like my baby to be placed on my chest immediately. I would like to breast feed as soon as possible.

I will be giving birth naturally in a hospital and would love to have a medical midwife attend. I will be delaying cord cutting and insisting on golden hour contact for myself and my husband. I would love to have a tub available, but definitely want to be prepared with holistic physical education about how to move, prepare, and position during labor, and best practices for recovery. I'd prefer to spend less than $3000 if possible, but quality of care is the priority.

Comfort: Request IV lines, blood pressure cuffs, and EKG leads be placed on your non-dominant arm to allow for easier holding of the baby. Visualization: Ask for a clear drape (or to have the mirror/screen lowered) to see the baby being born. During the Birth Communication: Ask the staff to explain what is happening, and consider requesting they tell you when they are ready to begin. Skin-to-Skin: Request immediate skin-to-skin contact in the operating room (OR) if no medical issues arise. This is my first pregnancy I’m wanting to have an at home birth.

I want a dula because I need someone to educate me and my husband on pregnancy, labor, and after birth. I need someone to stand by me who knows the laws of the hospital just in case something were to happen and I have to give birth in the hospital but my goal now is to have my baby at home with my midwife and dula I hire.

I want to give birth in the hospital but I don’t want to deliver on my back. I’m not sure if I want the epidural but am not against pain medication.

I always wanted a home birth and giving that I’m now pregnant and also Active duty Air Force, I hear my chances of that are low to not happening. However, I’m allowed to have a midwife and doula and I want one to help me through this! I honestly don’t know how to budget this because I know the military pays for everything but I’m hearing there limitations to how much they cover for a midwife and doula, so if I had to put a number on it I would say $3000. I plan to have a healthy and peaceful birth in a pool in the middle of my living room with my husband by my side and medical team( midwife, doula, etc). I’m not looking anything over the top just a safe and healthy delivery.
