I believe every woman deserves to be cherished, heard, supported, and cared for after giving birth.  I received a lot of support from my own mother after birthing each of my 3 children. This has inspired me to use my own experience, and knowledge from my training, to offer a high level of loving support and care to others on their postpartum journey. I’m passionate about creating a non judgmental space for parents and babies to learn and grow together.

Hi - I’m Daphney. I’m a fertility, birth, and postpartum doula. My doula journey unknowingly began as an infant and toddler nanny — a role that took me away to New Zealand, Australia, and Switzerland. Along the way, I discovered how much I love being part of families’ stories, and now I’m bringing that same heart into my doula work. Supporting moms, babies, and whole families lights me up, and I’ve dedicated my career to this calling. My dream is to offer the kind of nurturing care I imagine receiving myself one day as a mother. I offer birth, postpartum and fertility support in the Barrie, Simcoe County, York Region, & Vaughan/Toronto area! With love,
Daphney

As a mother of three, I understand firsthand the beauty and challenges that come with the postpartum journey. My work as a postpartum and birth doula is rooted in deep empathy and genuine care, qualities that have only been strengthened through my experience raising a special needs child. I bring calm, nonjudgmental support to families as they adjust to life with a newborn, offering both practical help and emotional reassurance. Over the past several years, I have supported families through both hospital and home births, navigating many different birth experiences and outcomes. I remain a steady advocate throughout, ensuring that families feel heard, respected, and empowered in every decision. My experience also includes childbirth education, lactation education, and newborn sleep support, helping parents feel prepared, confident, and informed from pregnancy through postpartum. My goal is always to nurture both baby and parents, creating a peaceful, supported environment where healing and bonding can truly thrive.

Victoria was my Doula for both my first and second babies, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She not only provided real, evidence-based birth education, but she also made me feel completely comfortable and confident throughout my pregnancy and labour. Victoria was by my side every step of the way, offering calm reassurance, kindness, and incredible knowledge. Her support made such a difference, and her service was worth every penny. I’m so grateful for her care and highly recommend her to any expecting parent!

I started in this field as an infant nanny to my niece back in 2017. Since then I have worked in a variety of childcare settings. My time working at a daycare was spent in the infant room, caring for newborns and up. Most recently, I’ve been a nanny to two wonderful families who I’ve had the privilege of watching their babies grow from newborns to energetic toddlers. I’m extremely passionate about helping families care for their infants and young children.

I am a DONA-trained Postpartum Doula and owner of Sage Support. No experience of my life has been as foundation-rattling as having my first child. My husband and I lived far from family and friends, and - like most - our family had other day-to-day responsibilities that kept them busy. Add in a (short) NICU stay, early feeding challenges, and insufficient paternity leave, and I was a mess. In those early days, in between visits from our mothers and sisters, I constructed a tiny village of “nice ladies” - lactation consultants, speech language pathologists, a weekly breastfeeding group, and a psychologist - to put myself back together and stabilize my daughter’s eating. I believe that our country needs significant policy changes that better support families, birthing people, and infants. In the meantime, postpartum doulas can help fill that gap. I went through DONA postpartum doula and breastfeeding training in January 2021, and I’m working on the final requirements to be fully certified. I will work hard to support your family and refer you to other evidence-based professionals.
