I’m planning to give birth at a hospital and I’m looking for a doula who can support a calm, empowering, and informed birth experience. I’d like someone who can help advocate for me, communicate clearly with medical staff, and keep me grounded emotionally and mentally throughout labor. My estimated budget is flexible depending on services included. Ideally, I’d love guidance with pain-management techniques, breathing, reassurance, and support before, during, and shortly after birth. I’m also interested in postpartum support and possibly night nursing in the beginning if needed. Overall, I want to feel safe, supported, and confident throughout this process.

Looking for a doula to help with birth and postpartum care. Lactation consultant is a plus but lower in priority. I plan to give birth vaginally in a hospital with an epidural. I am hoping for guidance on additional pain management techniques, birthing positions, and what I can do ahead of time to prep for birthing and postpartum. Kaiser has listed the following doula services covered by my plan: -One initial visit -Up to eight one-hour visits that may be provided in any combination of prenatal and postpartum visits -Support during labor and delivery -Up to two additional postpartum visits may be available. They also say that: "for doula services to be covered by the Health Plan, the doula must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) and a Tax Identification Number (TIN)." And that "the doula must file a claim for reimbursement." 3. I'm still thinking this through and would like a little help with this! I want a hospital birth. I want to keep and capsule my placenta. I'd like to labor for awhile at home and to try to not use an epidural, but am open to it if I feel I need it. I want to be able to move around. I want soft music playing and a gentle atmosphere.
