Kelsey is looking for Postpartum Doula, Birth Doula, Midwife

Location: San Diego, CA 92101, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: July 03, 2026
My name is Kelsey, and I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my first child, due on July 3, 2026. I’m an active-duty Navy pilot with TRICARE Prime. I’m in a bit of a unique situation, as I’ll be PCS’ing from Hawaii to Point Loma at the end of April 2026, which means I’ll be transferring care mid-pregnancy. Because of this transition, I’m hoping to connect early and thoughtfully with a midwifery practice that can help make the move as smooth and supported as possible. I’m very interested in pursuing a home birth and learning about the best options for a natural first birth. In addition, my faith is very important to me, and I’m hoping for a birth experience that is not only physiologically supported but also spiritually grounded. As a Christian, I value prayer, peace, and intentionality surrounding birth, and I’m seeking a team that is comfortable supporting that kind of environment. I would love to learn more about: • Your experience with first-time home births • How you support clients transferring care mid-pregnancy • Experience working with TRICARE or military families • Your availability around early July in the Point Loma area Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I truly appreciate any information you’re able to share and look forward to connecting. |

Hi I’m currently pregnant with my first baby and receiving prenatal care through Kaiser Permanente. I’m looking for a Kaiser-contracted doula who may be available around my due date. As a first-time mom, I’m hoping for extra emotional support during pregnancy and labor. I can experience heavy anxiety and know that in intense moments I may blank out when medical decisions come up or miss something that may be important to me so I’m really looking for someone who can help me stay grounded, informed, and supported in the moment. I’m also hoping to ease some of the pressure on my husband so he doesn’t have to make hard, spur-of-the-moment decisions alone, and so we both feel supported as a team. I would like to learn more information about a proper birth plan as there is alot of overwhelming information out there. I’d love to learn more about your support style, what services you offer (prenatal, labor, postpartum), and your experience working with Kaiser patients. Thank you so much! |

Hi! I’m currently looking for a doula. This is my second baby, and my first birth was very traumatic due to complications with my epidural, so I’m hoping to try a different approach this time. I’m specifically looking for a bilingual doula (English & Spanish) who is affiliated with Kaiser, has worked with Kaiser, or has a Kaiser provider number. Thank you so much! |

Location: San Diego, CA 92105, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: March 03, 2026
Ideally I wanted a home birth but the cost was out of our budget this time around. So a Hospital birth is the plan, natural, minimal hospital interventions, and I want to have a professional there that is comfortable advocating for us during the times we want to enjoy birth. We want long golden hour, the baby to stay in the room the entire time, no bath, no pulling on the placenta, and a few other things. |

Looking for a midwife , or doula to assist in the home birth of my third child. Ive had successful homebirth for my first , and second child ,almost a home birth, but the midwife felt it was taking too long and rushed me to the hospital , where I barely made in time for my daughter to not be born in the car . The experience was traumatic because my support lacked confidence, and expertise to endure at the very end which made me very fearful something was wrong which instensified the pain . I didn’t feel like I needed to go to the hospital , baby showed no signs of distress . Everything ended up being normal and healthy. I had to sign a waiver and meet with CPS to leave the hospital after not wanting to stay there for the standard number of days . Also having to constantly say no to all the newborn interventions like hearing tests and immunizations was distressing . I have Medicaid and found a great midwife , but unfortunately cannot afford the $2,500, copay that Medicaid will not cover . If I’m on Medicaid to begin with my financial resources are already very limited . Now I feel my only option, is a free birth. I want an unmedicated , no intervention birth . I feel my option to be somewhat of a free birth . I’m not against the medical system , it has its place and purpose , but not for routine childbirth. I have a birth pool and stool which have helped in the past , and am reading the “ the birthing handbook” to improve my awareness . I will be doing somewhat routine prenatal screenings , and a postnatal checkup through the medical system , to ensure the health of my baby, and I . I’m looking for someone to help encourage, and support me in my home through my birthing experience for a small fee . Thank you. |

Location: Chula Vista, CA 91910, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 08, 2026
My plan is to give birth in a hospital. This is my second pregnancy and birth. For my first, i had an unmedicated birth in a hospital. I plan for my second to be similar. With my first I had my husband as my support person. This time he is deployed and may not be back for the birth so I would like a doula to be sure I have someone to lean on in the labor and delivery room during the birthing process. |

Due date or baby's birthday: March 11, 2026
I plan to give birth at Sharp Mary Birch, San Diego, CA. I would like to have a doula with me during labor and postpartum at the hospital and at home for about two weeks so I can recover well. I'll need the doula to take care of my postpartum needs especially with my food/nutrition so that I can produce enough breastmilk. I haven't worked out my birth plan yet but going for a natural/unmedicated birth for sure. |
